@renovatedkitchen It wasn't as good as it could have been. I didn't think it sucked, but something like a princess promotion deserved better than a series of "hurry the story along" musical numbers. Which I guess is exactly what you just said, only longer.

@scribus If you're watching this show for the story you're doing it wrong. Not even season one episodes had good storylines. The story exists only to arrange the characters and make them interact with eachother and their environment- the things that actually make it entertaining. Plus the artstyle is very pleasant to look at and the music is very pleasant to listen to.

@scribus It is a three parter after all, but they should have made the episode longer. Maybe a spin-off movie out of it, hour and a half of the same episode but without omitted scenes and gaps.

@renovatedkitchen All I know of Strawberry Shortcake comes from the handful of commercials that have aired between MLP commercial breaks during livestreams, but isn't the whole point of that show that the characters are in a band? I think that's probably not the best option for something to watch if you want to avoid listening to singing cartoon characters.
