@scoot @renovatedkitchen The most I ever spend on a NES game is 100 gulden ( old currency ). It was Megaman 3. and it was the worst thing I probably ever bought, I still repeat those mistakes every once in a while, with things like Duke Nukem Forever ( I did not fall into the colonial marines hole though ). Also I would guess that the cheapest hobby out there is birdwatching. The most expensive things you need to get are greenish clohing, a pair of binoculars, and probably more soap for your waching machine than a usual person.

@renovatedkitchen Lets see, I have 2 working computers, one of which I call "Derpy Hooves" because sometimes "It just don't know what went wrong" 1 newish HD monitor, 1 newish 42'' TV, 1 old monitor with 1920X1200. And I live in a storage container. Nothing ever seems to break around me ( it just... goes nuts sometimes )... So as it looks I never did such crazy spending as you seem to do. So how have you "trimmed down" exactly ?

@zeldatra It is just like any normal appartment I ever rented in the city. Advantages include that your neighbours never annoy you, lest you count cows. and the only disadvantage is that I do not have a normal "door" so I can not get "normal" home insurance ( in fact, it is cheaper )

@critialcloudkicker Irritatingly, just as the market was opening up and pricing was becoming accessible, the UK government implemented onerous purchasing and ownership requirements, driving the cost of ownership right back up. Now you need to play at least 6 games in 6 months /before you can own a weapon/, effectively adding a fixed cost of £210 to your first purchase.

I own 2 servers, one desktop and 2 laptops. 3 xbox 360's, however two have been lost somewhere in the abyss. I've spent Nearly $3000 for car suspension instead of just spending on some cheaper $800 suspension. Or even cheaper used
