@flamingpandaomg xD my favorite part of my pony collection is the part I got for free and made myself actually. Fan art is awesome and so are custom plushies. Lately }kve been printing out my own Shards of Equestria decks as well.

@flamingpandaomg Assuming you use a printer at home there are some pointers I can give you if you like.

@flamingpandaomg okidoke. It's good I fill you in before you buy card stock anyway I think. First, you'll have to decide whether you want the full deck or not, and how many of each card you want to print. I'm planning on printing 2 or 3 each personally. Even 1 full set takes a lot of resources depending on a few things. If you haven't guessed, the rules of the game are the same as MtG's so you to play you'll need at least 40 cards per deck and at least 2 decks, (I prefer at least 50 cards per deck.)

@pony Okay, what if you don't plan on actually playing with the cards? Because I know there's nobody around here that's even a brony, let alone anyone who'd play it. XD

@flamingpandaomg the cards are meant for playing really. You could simply print them to own them but that's a lot of trouble just to enjoy having them I think. Then again, you'd have an epic game to play if the opportunity ever did arise. Have you played Magic the Gathering before?

@pony Yes, I have. I never got incredibly invested in it due to the fact that everyone who played it here moved away. I am familiar with the rules though. (My ex stole all of my cards though, I just realized a few weeks back.)

@scribus I could bring up the fact that I was with her for a year and a half, she ended up getting around $4000 out of me between gifts, rent and bills payed, and the most intimate we got was a kiss? Not even talking about #NSFW stuff. It was just ridiculous. Let alone the fact that she decided she felt "uncomfortable" living with me and kicked me out of the apartment we got together, causing me to lose my job since I had to move back halfway across the state to my parents house, and I've been unemployed ever since. I'M NOT MAD AT ALL.

@flamingpandaomg D: that's so sad. It'd be awesome if there were some way to play online with Shards of Equestria cards. Anyway yeah, I started printing mine because tghere are 1. Plenty of MtG players around these parts, 2. Lots of bronies, and 3. My wife will probably play with me since she's a pegasister. Any one of these is reason enough to own the cards I think, depending on how outgoing you are with you love of ponies.

@pony XD I actually actively tried to find ANY bronies in a 40mi radius from here, and I couldn't find any, minus one of my friends and she's not super into it, just casually watches the show.

@flamingpandaomg well Utah has the best job market in the US currently so there's that, plus cost of living isn't too bad. I get by on 10.25 per hour

@flamingpandaomg I also support a non-working wife so you'd probably be fine. Though honestly I have had to rely on my mother for money due to tuition costs.

@pony Yeah, I just can't afford to and I wouldn't be stable enough to do so. Let alone the fact that I'm taking care of both of my elderly parents who aren't fully capable of doing everything on their own. :p

@flamingpandaomg Back on the Shards of Equestria thing.. If you want a few economy decks i'd print one-sided on regular paper and then insert them into opaque-backed deck protector sleeves. They won't shuffle like normal cards, but that's not a big issue really. If you don't want to use sleeves then get cardstock that's very low friction. It will probably cost a bit unfortunately and if you're going that route you might well like to go all the way by printing them 2-sided. If you do this, I recommend printing all the backs first then the fronts but only after you've mastered printing and cutting out some cards with a few test pages and you know exactly what you're doing. (For quality you'll have to cut out each card individually of course). The reason for printing the backs first is to ensure they're uniformly colored. As your ink runs out you can catch it before too many card backs are ruined.

@flamingpandaomg if you want to print both sides of your cards you'll have to get pretty familiar with your printer. Also, I've been using Photoshop to print my cards, but if you can figure out one of the other 2 templates then kudos. The 8.5x11 Photoshop template needs adjusting for it to work well with my version of Photoshop and it probably will for you as well if you use it. Do you have Photoshop?

@pony I use GIMP myself. The only version of Photoshop I have is CS2 and I'm not a big fan of it.

@flamingpandaomg http://db.tt/hslCN7Jq let me know if that works. It should contain all the files you need. You can ignore the 12x4 sheets unless you plan to print in such a format as I did (because I had oddly sized card stock)
