  1. Awww, s***. I just realized that I animate at 640 by 360. Now, typically, this isn't a problem because Swivel does all the cropping work for me and renders at 720p. But for this cartoon I'll likely export directly from AfterEffects due to all the 3D footage. Am I screwed?

    1. @zeldatra Why do you animate at such a weird size in the first place

      1. @scoot I used to like to have the entire stage visible at 100%. (for all cartoons started after MLB 2, I animate at 1280 by 720) 1280x720 / 2 = 640x360.

        1. @zeldatra Eh, fine. 960x540 is still god tier though, its half 1080p.

          1. @scoot I don't like 1080p because it takes twice as long to render and looks the same as 720.

            2. @zeldatra I don't think 1080p looks the same as 720p at all dude. Not even slightly.

              1. @scoot Well, I never actively notice a difference, anyway. 720p is good enough for me.

                1. @zeldatra As someone who remembers what "tracking" is, I'm happy enough with video. :p

                    1. @commodorecrazycommanderofthe1stroyalbrigadeofspiceracksandcheese Here's hoping! There's some good bad 80s movies that never got further releases. :c lol

      2. @scoot Also, I decided on this stage size back when uploading MP4s to Newgrounds wasn't an option, and SWFs that took up the whole screen wasn't looked kindly upon.

    2. @stupidlyclever Then you just don't have a display that's good enough to show 1080p. Try it on a decent display and you'll be caught offguard by the difference.

    3. @stupidlyclever Watching something in 1080p then shifting down to 720p is jarring.

      1. @scoot I remember when I made the jump from 360p to 1080p. Nearly crapped my pants.
