@critialcloudkicker I try to get to bed early to get some rest but my body's inner clock makes it very hard to get sleepy before midnight and to my detriment my body's deep sleep phase is not so far away from 6:00.

@critialcloudkicker It's the first time I've seen a video of that person. I've watched some other dumpster diving videos on youtube. It's insane what some Gamestops throw out, mostly just game cases but once in a while complete and working games as well consoles.

@critialcloudkicker Brushing may fix it only temporarily. Baking the PCB might be a better solution to repair soldering points. I admit I've never done that because it's too scary for me.

@critialcloudkicker Well... Brushing won't help for my broken wiimotes. I saw that some wiimotes have burnt or clearly missing components or have an battery acid damage. The rest look OK looking with my bare eyes. I managed to repair a few with the components of the broken ones, like replacing the battery contact thingies because they were dissolved by battery acid. One of them has a broken home button but my soldering iron is too big and the button is too small. And yeah... They are too complex to repair.

@critialcloudkicker I'm not an engineer either but I can only do very basic stuff like opening a device and replacing cables or whole components. Splicing cables is a bit too much for me. I did it once with an OXBox controller to make it to work on PC. The OXBox controller cable is basically a USB cable with one more cable inside but isn't used. It was a hell of a work to splice the USB cable properly. Thanks to the help of my father it went fairly quickly. I have a dozen of broken Wiimotes on my shelf but there is no way to fix them. There is too much micro electronics in them that it's impossible to find the problem spot.

@critialcloudkicker I never dumpster-dived. I don't even know where it's worth dumpster-diving. All remaining game stores are in the middle of the city and there are no visible dumpsters to dive into.

@critialcloudkicker The 1st gen XBox 360 with RROD aren't worth a repair. You can use it to repair other, 2nd and 3rd gen, consoles, e.g. changing the disc drive or the case or faceplate. 3€ for RROD might not be such a bad deal (if you have the storage space for it).

@critialcloudkicker well, im not exactly a nintendo fan, but i lik sm gams that are fornintedo sytems. acullyz right now lim playing a pirate xenoblde. talking about i, have you heard that som will strt making ps4sin brazil to avoid th heavy taxation? i is amuch beter atiude than nintendo's. by the wayz nintendo is actualy selling amiibos here. the less rare ones cost about R$150
