@mrmattimation @firestormdangerdash There was an early script for a story wherein Freddy Kruger had been reduced to a laughingstock that kids would deliberately take sleeping pills just to apple with him, until he took one kid's sleeping dad hostage and started to regain his fear. Kinda wish that one got made... I think it evolved into "New Nightmare," which I wouldn't want to give up, but I would like to see wussy Freddy come back up against the kids, that sounds interesting.

I tried watching House of Cards on my way to work but it was impossible. My commuting time is too short for 50+ minute episodes. 22 Minutes are about the sweet spot for this scenario. Besides the length the pacing is not suitable for fast consumption. I'll binge-watch Archer next.

@tiffany And you know, I think that (metatextually, or whatever (metafilmically?)) it helps the show that it did start off in a way that gets described as "standard sitcom fare." It may have taken a bit too long to play the "holy crap" card, maybe took too much advantage of being on a binge-able medium, but damn it I defend the perceived weaker early episodes as supporting what comes later!

@adiwan I feel like high frame rates remove too much motion blur or something. They seem to break the illusion of actual movement and reveal the truth of a series of rapidly changing stills instead.
