@widget I did understand MOST of the conversation, to be fair. You don't like windows because it deletes files when programs crash, and nerthos says he just makes backups. It just felt to me that you two were just going to keep throwing out rebuttals because of your confidence in your own superior system

@widget NTFS hasn't caused me problems to be honest. I've only once seen the filesystem be damaged and I managed to fix it. For sensitive information I just make a backup to have two copies of the file in different hard disks in case one of them dies, but that's it. Usually chdsk or Partition Magic can solve any issue with the filesystem.

@widget Basically I know linux is more stable and less resource-intensive but all the programs I use run on Windows so I don't have a reason to switch over

@widget I make a point of not installing updates unless neccesary. I just install the service packs, otherwise the updates make the system run slowly.

@widget Yeah, that was pretty much in jest at my level of programming ability. :P I don't use the site (or currently any microblog) enough any more to find myself thinking it could stand to add X, Y or Z.
