@northernnarwhal @skyllie i may be a primarily electronic artist but i still acknowledge good music theory and sound design.
-
@skyllie It's also my favourite Japanese documentary
-
@skyllie Yes
-
@skyllie In which case add Los Miticos Del Ritmo and Batida to your list for modern Latin too.
-
@skyllie What about Jenni Rivera she may be gone *RIP* but, her music is still beautyful.
-
@skyllie no stop
-
@skyllie yay
-
@skyllie Totally understandable
-
@skyllie I'm a modern Latin
-
@skyllie Yeah, Ondatropica is really great. Very much rooted in traditional Latin but takes a lot of outside stylistic influence too.
-
@skyllie Oh oh oh, it's more a recent record but definitely look up Ondatropica and listen to it. Really fresh and exciting take on Latin music with an all star team on musicians.
-
@skyllie Also Dizzy Gillespie, Yusef Lateef, and Caetano Veloso are all worth your time if you haven't to any of them already.
-
@skyllie It's with Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd. Really fantasitc record, especially if you dig Getz/Gilberto.
-
@skyllie How about Jazz Samba?
-
@skyllie Have you listened to that collab record with Stan Getz though?
-
@skyllie Getz/Gilberto. You're welcome.
-
@skyllie yes, his trip to florida had side effects
-
@skyllie I'm dead inside now
-
@skyllie i get a chuckle or two
-
@skyllie I know the feeling
-
@skyllie It does mesh well in my master playlist and I've yet to feel the need to remove a song due to disliking it so much
-
@skyllie I'm crying instead
-
@skyllie I'm surprised Emily listened to Benji and her AOTY was still Lost in the Dream.
-
@skyllie That reminds me of a joke I made the other day http://rainbowdash.net/notice/3807990
-
@skyllie For the longest time I thought Benji was gonna be your AOTY for last year. Was surprised when it ended up being WLFGRL, especially since I think I was the one who pointed you in that record's direction.
-
@skyllie That's a good one but Ghosts has always been my favourite SKM record.
-
@skyllie Yeah We Were Dead is not bad by any means. But I wouldn't recommend it as an introduction to the band.
-
@skyllie My favourite is still People Who Can Eat People but Can't Maintain is really great, definitely their darkest record.
-
@skyllie It's just the music itself wasn't as exciting, interesting, or cutting edge as an album like Moon and Antarctica.
-
@skyllie It is a bloated genre but there is good sound design in there
