      • I'm pleasantly surprised at the seeming popularity of the Subaru BRZ/Scion FRS in this city. A car i never get sick of seeing, very pretty and from what i understand a very back-to-basic sports car. Too bad they cost so much here for what they are. It's as if Toyota didn't want for the car to make a reputation before over-pricing it.

          • Re-writing the entire script for this lesson because it doesn't cover a damned thing I want to cover first. HOWEVER, I have a great idea how to get the pronunciations across as I had just ran across my own reminder table!

            • I'm about to make it a priority to write up and record language lessons akin to Pimsleur's usual, although not quite the same as it isn't exactly the same type of thing. Here's hoping I can make something somewhat concise and understandable!

              • !linguistics oh how I enjoy listening to old Slavonic Church music, and hearing how much I can actually understand of it, being an archaic language. Russian is very very close to it in almost every single way, it's almost difficult to differentiate the two. Language origins typically are not this easily seen but Slavonic benefited greatly by being accepted by the Byzantine Church, alongside Greek. Shows how much religion affected (or effected) European languages.

                • Since I'll never get around to scanning this apparently I'll just post links to the pics here. This is a song I had written in Maycan a while back, Maycan being my created language work-in-progress. This script is a little derived from old Mongolian/Uyghur and I tried to at least mimic a little bit of Arabic calligraphy in it. http://ur1.ca/g53di

                • Where do these people come from? What is their lore, their culture, their actual history? What interactions with what other peoples influenced them the most, the least? What attitude should they convey in their spoken word? If I'm to speak Maycan, I have to think of these things, and more so, feel them. !linguistics especially ESPECIALLY other languages if you're to perfect them.

                  • Only 5 entries tonight but plenty of practises in spoken form, AND a more definitive usage of the omni-participle in Maycan! Things are looking up; I forgot as to how fun it is to think in this language!

                    • I really need to work on how the reflective/reflexive participle works in maycan. In spoken im having a tendency to use it as a filler.
