  1. !yorkshirebronies @mattus701 Holy crap, an actual cinema screen? :D If we could have a mare-athon... Just think of the possibilities!

  2. !yorkshirebronies @wychwood Hah, yeah, we all surround Leeds! I vote Leeds for default location! Question is, do we ever want variation or do we want to almost always meet up there?

  3. !yorkshirebronies Is still early days, so nothing is anywhere near certain, but I'm just looking at the map, wondering about good places for meetups. It seems that anywhere above the Leeds area is a whole bunch of nothingness for many miles. Sheffield is always an option providing there is a lot of interest from the !midlands, and York has been suggested to me before. I'm currently trying to find any function rooms with internet and a projector in York, but having little success (most likely because I'm not putting much effort into my search). Any locations / venue suggestions would be nice if you have ever thought about this before, too!

  4. !yorkshirebronies Ok, I have a plan! Click the link which I will paste at the bottom of this message, hit the big red EDIT button on the left, search for your home town, right click the red marker that is over your town and click "Add a placemark". Name it as your RDN name or whatever and then we can all use this to see who is where! Be sure to hit Save where the EDIT button used to be! http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=207883910633223854902.0004b7dc65df8087f8aa6&msa=0&ll=53.925486,-1.822817&spn=0.084807,0.264187

  5. !yorkshirebronies Apparently we will be getting snow in February. If this is the case, I think postponing the next meetup until March may be a sensible idea, what with travel and all. This gives plenty of time to plan stuff for the next meetup, such as location, activities and expected attendance. If we have 20+ again, what would you guys think about booking a function room? If we could get somewhere with internet, and a projector, who knows how much fun we could have!? What we need to do now though, is find a way of mapping everyone in the group, so we can find a good place that is near most of us. If I was more confident in my HTML skills, I would make a website for the group, but as it is I won't bother trying for now. P.S. Merrion Morrisons confirmed for not having blindbags.

  6. !yorkshirebronies If only we had known that blind bags were in Morrisons, we could have just stormed the one right next to the bowling alley, and still not been late! This said, I'm so checking it out if I can actually sneak away from my classmates whilst we are in there tommorow lunchtime.

  12. !yorkshirebronies On the offchance that anyone coming to the meetup tomorrow has access to a printer, or paper and pen, would you be able to bring along a copy of this, in case we do find ponies in Asda? http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9ngDulfHcvs/TxsNC2M6vsI/AAAAAAAAb4o/i2AKEt2J-ko/s1600/1.jpg

  14. !yorkshirebronies As a reminder for Saturday; 11am, Leeds train station - South concourse meeting point - WHSmiths (First shop on the right as you go through the ticket barriers). Write this number down or something in case you end up needing it: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6674290/Kontact%20Klay.txt The weather forecast for Saturday looks adequate.

  15. !yorkshirebronies Wave 3 blind bags can now be found in Asda, as I'm sure you have all heard. There is apparently an Asda near the train station, on Neville street, but I'll have to check that out. I have no idea how to get to it yet! Anyway, if there is an Asda, we should totally go there for a ponyhunt.

  18. !yorkshirebronies Holy crap, 17 confirmed already, and still 5 days to go! Thanks for the emails you guys! @purplephish20 Yeah, @stecissunrise showed me the poster yesterday, and it is awesome! As soon as it is done get it sent to EqD! :D

  19. !yorkshirebronies Attention: 25% discount on your order at Tshirt Print until the end of January! Whether you order now, or on the day, you'll still be able to take advantage of this discount. I just went in to order myself and @undeadtaz two shirts, and it cost a mere £23.25! That's £11.62 each! Also, Brio's is booked!

Friday, 20-Jan-12 19:09:50 UTC from web
  20. !yorkshirebronies If you are definately attending, please send an email to me at klayking_roradio@msn.com, with a relevant subject title, and if you want to get a shirt be sure to mention it in the email. I need some decently accurate figures, as soon as possible. Thanks guys!

  21. !yorkshirebronies Ok, unless there are any objections, the final plans are as follows: 11:00am Meet in the Leeds train station. 11:30am, or whenever everyone is present, head out to either the milennium square or one of the shopping centres, weather depending, to hang out and get to know each other. 12:30pm Go to Brio's for italian food. 1:30pm Go visit Tshirt Print to pick up / order T-shirts. Afterwards we can go on a pony hunt if you guys so desire. 3:00pm Go bowling! 5:00pm I presume some of you guys will want to be heading home, so I haven't made any particular plans for those who wish to stay. We'll just do whatever. Pub? :3 Again, if you have any problems / suggestions, let me know ASAP!

  22. !yorkshirebronies Regarding shirts: You can either order online now and pick the shirt up in store on the 28th, or you can create the design in store, and have it shipped either to the store or your home a week later. If possible, arrange to order with someone else (either you buy both shirts and the other person pays you half on the day, or you have them both shipped to the same place), to take advantage of the £15 per shirt deal. @totality also says that they do digital printing, so full colour prints are possible, but I can't find anything about that! D:

  23. !yorkshirebronies I booked us in for Bowling at 3pm. Looks like it will cost £11 for 2 games, as we are in a big group, so it only works out at like 50p each! Although, I did book 4 lanes, so worst case scenario is that they try to charge us £2 each... Also, there isn't a Handmade Burger Co. in the shopping plaza, so I'll go ahead and book the Pizza place if we have no objections!

Thursday, 19-Jan-12 17:05:41 UTC from web
  24. !yorkshirebronies @trister Haha, yeah, try getting a meal in Ilkley for under £20... Our Wetherspoons is the 2nd most expensive in the country! A simple burger is £2.50 cheaper in Leeds than here! D:

Wednesday, 18-Jan-12 22:27:54 UTC from web in context
  25. !yorkshirebronies About the shirts. I already mentioned how it is cheaper to order 2+ in one go, however they must both be shipped to the same destination. Not too much of a problem for those who are happy to travel to Leeds at a later date and pick them up from the store, but could be problematic for those living far away. If you have a near by brony friend, you could always order them online, and have them shipped to your house. At least that way you would have the shirt in time for the meetup! :D Similarly, you could collect them in store.

  26. !yorkshirebronies Good news, everypony! Pizza is back on the potential menu! I called in at Brio's; a small family run pizza place at the Light, Leeds. The manager was all too happy for me to reserve some tables for 20 of us, so if you guys want to go there, I'll go back and book it! Have a website, complete with menu: http://thelight.brios.co.uk/File/default.asp And let me know if it's a yes or a no for Brio's Pizza!

  27. !yorkshirebronies I'll have some time in the afternoon before college starts tomorrow, so I'll have a look around any restaurants near my college. I noticed a carvery today, with good looking deals on food, but I'll have to check again.

Monday, 16-Jan-12 22:00:42 UTC from web
  28. !yorkshirebronies @trister I'd expect anywhere between 10 and 20 of us at this stage.

Monday, 16-Jan-12 20:02:14 UTC from web in context
  29. !yorkshirebronies About food: Nando's indeed don't take bookings so it would be a huge gamble if we showed up en masse. Anyone from Leeds know of good places to eat? Preferably vegetarian friendly. I'll need to get this stuff sorted soon so throw out some suggestions!

  30. !yorkshirebronies @mattus701 Bowling, food, and if you want to buy any shirts or toys then I suppose spare money can't hurt!
