!yorkshire @trister Train ride was......... £15...... + whatever i eat at the train station (bacon bap + coffee last time), sausage rolls, coke, + merch.... lets see.... I'm now putting a tally of. (counting)..... about £22-23 quid on every leeds meetup... :/ could be worse. Didnt a sheffield meetup get suggested? So it could tie in further with !midlands?

I may not be going to the Bristol meetup on the 21st anymore, but I could still really use one of those "I.D Cards" for future meetups I attend. Is there anypony who could design me one for cheap? Doesn't even need a new picture of my OC, I could just supply one of the three I already have. !uk

Well, it's now official, I WON'T be able to make the Bristol Brony Meetup on the 21st, flying up on Thursday and coming home on Saturday. Pretty gutted about it as it would have been a great way to unwind after how depressing the funeral will be, but...family comes first I'm afraid, and it'll be my last chance to say goodbye. Still a shame, the first Bristol Brony Meetup was something I was really looking forward to. !southwest !uk

@ponyray haven't thought too much about it yet i'm afraid. i'll probably make decisions over the next couple of days and let everyone know then. I haven't actually been to newcastle for over two years now, and haven't visited the metro centre since I was about 8, so I might have to take a trip down at some point to figure out exactly where everything is. Expect at least some details in a couple of days.

@ponyray well I basically need to know how easy it would be to get there by train, since anyone who drives in will likely know the area already, and how far away the asda/toys r us you mentioned are, and whether it would be practical to walk to them. Metro center should have plenty of places to sit around and get something cheap to eat so they are both crossed off the list, other than that it's just a case of train times and anything else that we want to do

@trister @pony well fortunately for our collective wallets, I obtained the aforementioned from the pound shop! Specifically, one in the covered shopping arcade near Bridlington bus station. I was just passing through and am not familiar with that town, so I don't recall the exact shop, but IIRC it was one of the major pound-shop chains ^^

Without even meaning to, I stumbled across and bought two pony-related items yesterday in the same shop. Firstly, an FiM colouring book with stickers, and secondly, a one-time-use device which launches confetti and streamers into the air and is labelled quite perfectly as a "Party Cannon"! (I'll never leave home without it!)

@fl3tch3r2k well you're in luck. april 28th is the last saturday of the month, seems like a good opportunity for a meetup. nice and cheap, like discussed. if anyone in the !yorkshirebronies group is up for this then we should make it so as soon as possible. Structure wise it would be meet at 11, grab food, hang about for a while, raid the shops again, then hang about until you want to leave. there will be photo ops and chalk drawings in there somewhere too
