  1. @muttstuffle @zachariastargazer .. my shirt says "Shakespeare hates your emo poems".

  2. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony I also listen to big band music and irish folk, so you never know what else is in my list. Maybe I can suggest Lorenna McKennitt to you? She's amazing, wonderful and amazing. LM "The Bonny Swans" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsNJuhBfbPg

  3. @mylittlegulo .. not very Pony music though!

  4. @greydragon412 .. that's easy; The Hero from the same album. If you like Amon Amarth, check out "We Will Rise" from Arch Enemy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4Dn02bR4pg

  5. @greydragon412 .. I'm so angry. Amon Amarth played locally last weekend and I couldn't afford to go. Grr ..

Friday, 12-Aug-11 23:12:16 UTC from web in context
  6. @greydragon412 I mostly only mentioned the band name since they were so close to one another. :)

  7. @greydragon412 Dragonlord is .. on the black metal side and growly. If you like clean vocals, you might not like these guys. But the guitars and drums are pretty epic -- from Rapture (album I'm listening to now) I would say that 'Tradition and Fire' and 'Unholyvoid' are the best songs.

  8. @greydragon412 I listened to a few sample tracks based on your earlier comments and liked it enough to buy their Astronomy album from iTunes. I'm listening to Dragonlord until it finishes downloading (Dragonlord sounds nothing like Dragonland, but it's also metal and has 'dragon' in the title).

  9. @thelastgherkin Agreed..! Don't think I'm selling Mulan short, it's one of my favourite cartoons, let alone Disney movies. Not many things have made me laugh as hard as the scene at the end where they're climbing the pillars, the good guys are in drag and the music is belting out ".. BE A MAN .."

Friday, 12-Aug-11 22:44:00 UTC from web in context
  10. @thelastgherkin .. probably the last funny thing that Eddie Murphy ever did, alas.

Friday, 12-Aug-11 21:47:39 UTC from web in context
  11. @nvrrmbr .. notice how Bob Dole and the G&P Trixie both refer to themselves in the third person and are never seen on the show together? I think you know what that means.

Friday, 12-Aug-11 21:38:11 UTC from web in context
  12. @thelastgherkin "Concubines!" ".. UGLY .. concubines."

Friday, 12-Aug-11 21:10:53 UTC from web in context
  13. @thelastgherkin No, because nobody actually owns a cat. They just consent to stay at your house and let you pet them.

  14. @nvrrmbr I'm awesome at partying, as long as there's a cleric, mage and thief to go along with me.

  15. @leonkfox .. Santa's Lapland? O_o So, so wrong ..

  16. @nvrrmbr Einstein.

  17. @ceruleanspark BRILLIANT.

  18. @ceruleanspark *squints at homepage favico* Eeyup, that's the teeniest Laughing Man icon I've ever seen.

  19. .. I'm totally going to make a MLP Linux Distro now. Configured for media playback, PMV making and tons of backgrounds worthy of a brony! Just need a name .. Bronix?

Friday, 12-Aug-11 17:58:55 UTC from web in context
  20. @ceruleanspark @greydragon412 was looking for good, free non-linear video editing to make a PMV. OpenShot was the best I could come up with, even though they are a Windows dragon. I can't find anything nearly as good on the Windows side (and Windows Media Maker is craaaaap).

Friday, 12-Aug-11 17:57:09 UTC from web in context
  21. @ceruleanspark Also, trying to encourage the Live Disc to avoid damage :) The AV Linux Live Disc has OpenShot 1.3.1 to play with.

Friday, 12-Aug-11 17:47:22 UTC from web in context
  22. @ceruleanspark It could be (I've used neither Ubuntu Studio or AV Linux), but I was specifically looking at OpenShot. The version on the Ubuntu repositories is about two revisions behind (1.1.3 vs 1.3.1 or so).

  23. @greydragon412 I was trying to imply you should read to understand. ;) Alrighty, these people have made a Linux disc image that you can boot from that will let you run linux on your computer without affecting your Windows install. It's a great way to try out something new without fear of breaking anything on your computer. You can get the AV Linux image and information here: http://www.bandshed.net/DownloadInstall.html

  24. @ceruleanspark This needs to get favourite'd up.

Friday, 12-Aug-11 17:22:21 UTC from web in context
  25. @greydragon412 Well, you said you were bored, right? ;)

Friday, 12-Aug-11 17:19:16 UTC from web in context
  26. @greydragon412 I found an open source one that looks excellent; I've played around a little bit and it feels pretty good to me -- it does transitions, wipes, text overlays and more I'm sure. If you have linux somewhere you can install it easy as Pinkie Pie -- if you don't have linux, burn the Live image to a DVD and you can just boot your computer off it without messing with anything. http://www.openshotvideo.com/

  27. @dethonator "5 Ponies of the Apocalypse" "Orbital Friendship Cannon" "NightMares" (well maybe not for bronies) "Fetlocks of Fire" "Knight Riders" (haha) ..

Friday, 12-Aug-11 16:28:36 UTC from web in context
  28. @greydragon412 I can do some fiddling around tonight and see if I can come up with some better suggestions though.

Friday, 12-Aug-11 15:56:56 UTC from web in context
  29. @greydragon412 I'm assuming you're on Windows -- understand that if you're using free software, it's worth exactly what you paid for it but I think you already know that. Soooo, that said, try taking a look http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_editing_software#Open_source_software and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_free_and_open_source_software_packages#Video_editing -- depending on what you want or need, you might find something from there. I've dabbled in video splicing, but it was on a Mac or under Linux because I didn't want to pay out any further money either.

  30. @greydragon412 This is for a video program that you're making a PMV?
