    @pony I think NAS usually means "A pretty box you can throw in the corner of your room that enables all your network devices comminucation with it so you can fetch your files" So it would be more descriptive than simply "an FTP" server, because you need the FTP protocol ( Integrated with TCP/IP ) to comminucate with an FTP server... Then again what device does not have FTP or TCP/IP protocols these days ? I think I am rather lost in my own description here. ... Unless .... Apple ?
