If Texas were to seccede from the USA they would have to screw up BADLY if they would end up anywhere below the 15th largest economy in the world as a sovereign nation. I wonder what some oil-giants would have to say about it though, I would love to simply ask a employee of ConocoPhilips or Exxon Mobil, because sertainly it would shake things up in the oil-industry by A LOT, probably for the whole continent you could feel the shift.
