@thelastgherkin Working nights is complicated. I don't know how things are by you, as far as 24 hour shops and services go, so my advice may be flawed. It's got a few downsides, but they're almost all matched by an upside in my experience. You get to run errands when it's least busy, but it makes socializing harder. Sleep is certainly going to need some adjustment, and the first few weeks will naturally be hardest. Um... It's not inherently bad, but it's not for everyone. At first (and for most of the time) I enjoyed the daytime freedom, but it came with a growing sense of isolation and I think it was a contributing factor in losing touch with several of my old friends (though, we probably would have grown apart in time, anyway). I don't know if any of that was useful at all, or if it was just more of me rambling. :p
