        • Gonna pick up a 14 in CRT TV for my old consoles. I'm so sick of the HD TV for the old consoles. The image is so ugly blurry that I can smear a jar of petroleum jelly into my eyes and it wouldn't change a thing. Also good bye input lag. It messed me so up playing Mega Man that's not funny anymore. Anything over HDMI is fine. Only the analog inputs are messed up.

                • I wish Marvel didn't poop out so many "events". Civil War II is killing Ms Marvel for me and the event creeps up into her comic series. Later this year a new "event" is announced that involves Inhumans vs X-Men. If this makes into her own comic (because she's technically an Inhuman) I'm thinking about canceling my subscription to the Ms Marvel series.

                  • @critialcloudkicker It boils down to money and greed. More event crossovers, more comics, more purchases! People want to follow what their favorite hero does!! They NEED to buy all of the extra comics to understand what's going on!!! I don't mind small scale crossovers like the one The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl and Howard The Duck did a couple of months ago. It lasted two issues. Quick, painless, fun.

                  • @critialcloudkicker There are comic book review sites that talk about what happens in the events. Reading the reviews is enough to get the gist of it. Civil War II is a clusterFrankerZ. An Inhuman named Ulysses has the ability to see a very probable future and the heroes struggle/fight about the use of his abilities to prevent the crime from being happening and jailing the criminals before the crime has been committed. It lacks the nuances of this problem/opportunity.

                • Like I'm actually mangoing confused. Did the team write a twelve-episode series and then after they pitched it to Cartoon Network say "okay now let's just wing the rest. uhhhh, i guess we can do an episode where steven has gem sex and that's important because... believing in himself. alright we got this"

                  • @mrmattimation Rebecca Sugar learned this schizophrenic technique from Adventure Time, where they put characters and world-building details at random and fill up with seemingly pointless filler episodes. It'll be a bit better when the green space rock dorito shows up more.

                      • I just watched some Blair Witch reviews and that made me think about horror movies. I hate when there is the technology fails trope. What about a horror movie in which all technology works perfectly fine and with the help of the technology currently available the paranormal creature can be captured. So... I mean like Ghostbusters but with less science-fiction.

                        • I finished reading the Star Wars Droids omnibus from Dark Horse. It was a goofy 430-page long collection that was spawned in the mid-90's. One story involved a drug plant that made every person who consumed it permanently mindlessly happy. All consumers were called "Smilers". The last remaining one, who happened to be the inventor of the plant, was torn between a dictator and a rebellious faction. The dictator wanted to extract the secrets of the production of the plant from the brain of the last Smiler. There was an alien who wanted to keep the Smiler for himself (as a pet or so) and the alien had the last remaining drug plants. The alien wanted to get rid of war and suffering by producing vast amounts of this drug. The plants were destroyed but with the last remaining bits both the dictator and the rebel leader were given the drug and ended the conflict, but this was heavily implied and never shown on-panel.
