@engelhardt There's also LilyPond/Rosegarden, though I'm not sure it's available for Windows. I also am incapable of reading sheet music in anything resembling an efficient manner (I have to figure out every single note one at a time)

@engelhardt Really? I've been playing the viola for five or so years, and I can play amazingly in both clefs.

@engelhardt very cool. Have you ever played a Kay? The bass we had was very old and delicate but it sounded amazing and was very loud, we usually didn't need pickups when playing with jazz choirs.

@engelhardt ha, 180 isn't even that fast, perhaps on a violen, i played saxophone for 10 yrs and much of the stuff we did was in the 220-320 range. Have you heard Kenny Garrett's "Song #8" ?
