I hope no one outside of the !fediverse will notice and take this as a precedent for good practice. -

I think the only thing application developers have to do is not "feature" Gab as an option.
Like AndStatus has some predefined instances, if there were Gab there, that'd be a motive for Google to remove it from Play Store. -

What rubs me the wrong way is that this is against the free software idea that the user should decide how they want to use the software. There's a reason why "do no evil" licences are not qualified as free software.
Even though this doesn't make the clients non-free, it does go against the free software spirit, that software should not have anti-features.
I should also point out that, unlike instances, clients aren't a service but programmes. -

@nerthos Nah, Rural California would get shafted there because of where the urban areas are. Either a) Rural California ends up still being dominated by cities in the northern part of the state, or B) the urban parts of the state are split into MULTIPLE states, leading to urban over-representation.

@nerthos Alas, it is woven into the loading screen tips of Rage 2. So you would not just have to plant the Jolly Roger flag deep into its hearts, but also mod out the loading screens.
I do not oppose any of those idea's by any means but for the sake of everything I like and love, I do not think it should have ever been there in the first place.Jonathan Chouinard likes this.

My spoilerfree opinion on the ending of GoT.
FFS I just saw the episode where they threw Cercei in jail. That is only Season 5. I do not even KNOW anything about the ending of GoT. I do know that the 2 main guru's are the most hated toons in the eyes of the fans, such a strong reaction from the fanbase I have not seen for YEARS. The only thing that comes close is when I was in spittle range of some uber-nerd's litteral waterfall of words regarding how 'Han shot first'.
Talking about Star Wars. The main guru's behind GoT are going to get their own Star Wars trilogy. But also Ryan Johnson was supposed to get his own trilogy. Meanwhile if I can take this thing anywhere close to serious http://rainbowdash.net/url/874466
If I had a betting sort of personality though I know what I would put my money on. But I am not. I'm just going to enjoy the Hindenburg-Train-Airbus-Hybrid-Crash while sipping my favorite beverage.

@ponfive It has been 20 years since there was a sonic movie, so a team of production companies got together to make a new one, this time going for the full CGI bonanzafest that we pretty much have in all modern 201X movies of nowadays.
And even though there were some 'leaks' of sonics design the studio responsible chose to went ahead with the trailer despite all of the negative backlash about the leaks. Soon the leaks were shown to be really truthfull when the official trailer was released and fans exploded with anger about how dumb it all looks. For instance Sonic looks WAY more like a human toddler than what he kinda is supposed to look like. ( Big shoes, big head, white gloves )
As such the director team told the graphics department "HEY ! FIX IT !" ... Now let us hope the story will have a statisfying conclusion when the movie releases in November.Jonathan Chouinard likes this.

for a while now I've wanted to try streaming RPG Maker so that viewers could help create the world, characters, plot etc. only issue is it would need a moderate number of people to actually be fun
