  17. Can anyone riddle me this? I have this USB thumb called XUPREME, had it for many years; it's 16Gb (the hightst available at the time, said to be extremely fast (which it was, and it's still not sluggish) and reliable (true, given how long I've used it, including on may travels, hot and cold). It still works fine on Nikola (Debian desktop), but on laptop Dennis (LMDE), it's been slowly deteriorating, not detected when it replaces mouse or mobile internet dongle, and since today not even after a cold boot. Another USB thumb works just fine on Dennis. Any idea what could be causing this? old age? problem with laptop HW? problem with LMDE? Something else? # #
