@jd @paulfree14 #Events is an #old feature though in !GNUsocial. Hardly anybody ever uses it these days. qttr.at/1u0h http://qttr.at/1u0i

I remember being excited for Series 2 #old

@redenchilada I do believe it was, like, fifteen years ago. #old

well, it'd be probably a nice Murphy/Sod story how one can end up with not even an #old backup
-
"I'll do something else instead." <- better that: the code is probably pretty #old + it'd help others more when you help improve other distributed systems http://federation.skilledtests.com/List_of_Federated_Communication_Platforms.html

Dick: new pump.io'd identi.ca: "but you don't see as many #interactions as we used to see in the good #old days of identi.ca"

me neither but tell that CapnJ and he might think we're not that #old ;-)

users + more important non-lazy #statusnet admins can set/change the default #shortener for such a case. I'm worrying more about the #old dents :-( When #Evan (might) sell it it'll be unclear what the new #owner will do. And no one tell me that it might not happen, the millions of old dents on identi.ca are not accessible right now, since months cc @drak

if you want to find old dents (of identi.ca's lost history) you'll have to e.g. search on the #old statusnet instances running for ages (e.g. @gomerx@dent.gomertronic.com or fragdev), I try to link to old discussions when I have the time

It's not that bad when a version is #old, e.g. I run also an older SN (but patch the important things myself, which is not shown). BUT: you are right, we definitely need MORE than 8 instances listed there. I'm doing that alone unfortunately, it could help when we spread the news more and people help searching in the 260 SN instances for ones which are "suited for our cause": http://federation.skilledtests.com/List_of_Independent_Statusnet_Instances.html (btw: this is the directory where I mirror pages in case someone has problems with my IP checker: http://federation.skilledtests.com )

Sorry, no GO! Both sites run a too #old statusnet version and they have NOT the #security fix from #2011 http://skilledtests.com/wiki/Blog:Observations/StatusNet_installs_in_the_wild_wild_internet cc @cabal@equestriarp.net
