@cavatina I believe it uses a serverside technology called Meteor
-
@cavatina OH YISS

@cavatina ahh :o Yeah, if you can't figure it out then it's probably worth going 32-bit, at least for a while, I do believe the 64-bit stuff is still improving, but it's definitely more of an issue on Linux than it was Windows... I can't play Feed The Beast with its launcher because the LWJGL files always make the game crash on startup because amd64 is an unsupported architecture, so, I sympatheise x3
-
@cavatina Awesome! Hope it helps. ^_^
-
@cavatina It probably isn't your fault. The LWJGL libraries that Minecraft comes with are... old, to say the least. Try following this and see if that improves the Minecraft situation. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Tutorials/Updating_LWJGL

@cavatina Seems you put some tought into it before starting. I'll be honest and say I never got around to watching any of your Youtube stuff.
-
@cavatina You'll realize if the career is what you want or not around the middle of it, and if it isn't, you can simply steer towards another career with similar assignments so you don't waste all effort.
-
@cavatina Are you running 64-bit?
-
@cavatina Thanks :D
-
@cavatina Whats your steam?
-
@cavatina i've always wanted to do a game thing, but i feel inclined to the art part
-
@cavatina *nod* Otherwise it tries to load a .class file
-
@cavatina Wow, 13 years is a LOT of time. You must really like it.
-
@cavatina java -jar <pathtominecraft.jar>
-
@cavatina Hmm. So you're going for something you've liked for a while then. That's good. Just try not to overdo it. If you let a hobby become a job, it loses it's appeal.
-
@cavatina Hmm o-o Any messages in the terminal when you run it from there?
-
@cavatina Game development sounds nice if you like desk work. I'm in electronic engineering. Not interested in work as an engineer, but the knowledge is incredibly useful.
-
@cavatina @toksyuryel It is indeed~ X3
-
@cavatina Nice. I'm currently dealing with college/uni too. Trying to download a couple leaked exams to have it easier next friday.
-
@cavatina Gentoo, actually~ :o Granted I had somebody as a guide to help me out when I was getting started ^^;
