The artwork in MLP Friends Forever #1 is awful, really awful.

@broniebrown The story is boring and badly written too.
-
@broniebrown The artwork of the Micro-Series #1 (Twilight) was really bad but Friends Forever #1 achieved to be worse on so many levels. The story of the Micro-Series #1 was not the best but it was a story that was simple and relatable. Friends Forever #1 however is just a plain mess. It doesn't have my recommendation. Skip it when you haven't bought it.
-
@broniebrown It felt like a more child oriented thing. I didn't have any real issue with it, but the style was hard to get used to.
-
@broniebrown Is the micro series finished then? I've wanted to know.
-
@broniebrown Here's hoping # 2 is better. I actually still have to read the micro series. Did they get any better after the first?
-
@pony The new line "Friends Forever" replaces the Micro-Series comics. The Luna Micro-Series comic was the last one under this name.
-
@broniebrown oh good to know thanks.
-
@pony Yeah. The Rainbow Dash wasn't soo good either but I highly enjoyed the Rarity Micro Series comic. Pinkie Pie was also very good.
-
@pony I liked the first one a bit, though its quality in story left me wanting. My favorites are Rarity's, Fluttershy's, Celestia's, and Luna's (prolly best one alongside Rarity's)
-
@pony But the Fluttershy comic is also something you can skip without regrets.
-
@broniebrown Fluttershy's had some pleasing moments.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline @broniebrown Hehe. difference of opinion on Fluttershy. Interesting. Thanks for the tips!
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline But this story was just meh for me and the artwork was sub par.
-
@pony I agree that you can skip it, @BronieBrown has valid points. But it has pleasing moments in it for Fluttershy fans.
-
@broniebrown agreed. Overall, only a handful of the micro series issues have good stories, and they are mainly vehicles for showcasing the various idiosyncrasies of the main characters we have come to enjoy. The art is passable in most of them, but certainly does not carry the comic in absence of a decent story.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline @broniebrownI gotcha. I'll end up reading all of them eventually. I love the art and story, but the characters interest me as much as the art.
-
@pony I was saddened that the Rainbow Dash issue did her little justice, and I was equally surprised that a less popular character (Rarity) had one of the best issues. Provided, she is my favorite pony, but as you can see I am unbiased.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline Ah not doing the character justice in a character focused comic really is just sad.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline It's nice Rarity gets some positive attention though.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline I can agree on that. This is how I would order the micro-series comics (from top to bottom): Rarity, Luna, Pinkie Pie, Celestia, Applejack, Cutie Mark Crusaders, Spike, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Twilight.
-
@pony if you love Luna, prepare for the comic of your life. Same goes with Rarity. The others... well they have the series. I still like the handful I mentioned. Also, Rarity gets lots of positive attention! The show does a great job on her. She had most of the best lines in season 3, had fun episodes in the first two seasons, and season 4 has her best episode yet
-
@broniebrown I enjoyed Applejack's issue far less than the rest. For me, RD and AJ would be at the bottom, well wait I take that back because the Spike and CMC issues were almost the darn same... It's hard to choose which ones were the worst. Does this make me a bad person?
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline I'm looking forward to it!
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline I LOVE BEING COVERED IN MUUUD
-
@thelastgherkin I was thinking of the manehattan episode being her best
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline Oh, yeah, that one
-
@thelastgherkin yeah, THAT best Rarity episode
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline her best is that one of the big spike
-
@mushi that was a spoike episode
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline I don't think there can be a better Rarity episode that Suited for Success.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline Or A Dog and Pony Show.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline Or that one where she's hobnobbing it in Canterlot.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline no, that was hers too
-
@thelastgherkin With this one I'll definitely agree.
-
@thelastgherkin there was that one time when Rarity stole every episode
-
@broniebrown never seen it but i dont like any other generations art work or color design besides mlp fim i believe it is generation 4 correct me if i am wrong
-
@djhedgehog It is MLP:FiM. I meant the new comic series that replaces the micro-series line.
-
@broniebrown they have that
-
@djhedgehog Yeah. There are official MLP:FiM comics.
-
@broniebrown when did they come out i never even knew there were comics
-
@djhedgehog palying atelier rorona, and you ?
-
@djhedgehog The first one came out on November 28th 2012 and it was the story about the return of Queen Crysalis.
-
@mushi palying atelier rorona huh??
-
@broniebrown so it is basically the shows story but in a book form
-
@djhedgehog yep, and you ?
-
@mushi i am just on rdn not bored and also on my piano and xbox360
-
@djhedgehog that multitask
-
@mushi oh i was asking what you meant earlier about palying atelier rorona i did not understand
-
@djhedgehog These comics contain original stories that weren't in the show. There were two comics about Big Macintosh how he was searching for a box of nails to repair a gazebo and it was hilarious.
-
@broniebrown oh i will have to look out for them then
-
@mushi yep
