@widget I do that on a regular basis. xD

@widget Good question. That's been announced since last BroNYCon
-
@widget Shame i can't go even though i live in NY
-
@wafers I can't go because even if I can afford to go, I can't afford a place to stay :<
-
@lyrica I have no transportation whatsoever and only 17. Dang. I really want to go too.
-
@wafers yeah, transportation for me would also require 2 extra tickets (sister and her boyfriend) I REALLY want to go too :<
-
@widget >abigpony >being a jerk >weird
Scribus likes this. -
@widget I wasn't trying to be a jerk. Why do people always assume I'm constantly a jerk?
-
@abigpony Lack of evidence to the contrary.
Toksyuryel likes this. -
@abigpony People like to assume that others only have one mode of thought because it makes it easier for said person to categorize people, ergo "this guy is always whiny" or "this guy is always rude".
-
@redenchilada What would that make me good sir?
-
@lyrica I like to think of you as "the happy-go-lucky guy who makes others happy". If and when I need to generalize.
-
@widget Hey, now, that's just wrong. Don't you know it's the _half_ moon on a _Wednesday_?
- likes this. -
@widget Well papayas, I guess it's too late to change it then.
-
@colfax Is there a way I might go about changing this?
-
@redenchilada aww that makes me happy, that's honestly what I try to be :3
-
@redenchilada That's myyy goaalll thouughh.
-
@redenchilada Lame. Guess I might as well stick with it at this point. Every good site needs a bad member.
-
@redenchilada What am I.
-
@widget butt how?
-
@widget but I always think about every word when i type it and I honestly can't think of any other way to explain myself most of the time. I usually read over my messages a few times before sending them too, just so I don't usually sound as bad as I could. This is where I get confused when people give me advice on how to better myself on here because they tell me this same stuff and I respond the same way and they're always like "welp, guess you're just a terrible person then." Could you provide examples or something?
-
@widget 1) those smilies are stupid as hell? What am I, a middle-school girl? 2) putting the "yeah" at the beginning like that sounds more hostile to me than what I put because it sounds really smart-alack-y. I guess it's the way were raised or something.
-
@widget But you can still pick up tone from the way their writing and that's what we're arguing. your choice of words determines tonality based on family, location, etc. and that's why I brought up the possibility of the way were are raised. Should I use more reaction images or something? Those are fine compared to emoticons for me.
-
@widget but what if I know? http://ur1.ca/9eoum
-
@abigpony Lol what are you talking about, smilies are gr8 omg!!! xD :) <3
-
@redenchilada I JUST LOOKED AT WHAT I TYPED. I'M GOING TO GO KILL MYSELF NOW. r.i.p. me 1994-2012
-
@redenchilada Omg, you like them too?! <333 xD
-
@minti ... Is it sad that at one point in time this is legitly something I would have said?
-
-
@minti yeah, it kind of is. Not as sad as the fact that that's how @theawesomepinkpony still types.
-
@minti I will say "lol" ironically, "<3" when I'm in a fruity mood, and I've grown kinda fond of ":c", "c:", and ";~;". Anything else (ESPECIALLY "xD" and "omg") make me kill bunnies.
-
@redenchilada I need to use the word "fruity" more often.
-
@redenchilada The only one I refuse to use is "o3o". HOW IS THAT EVEN AN EMOTICON.
-
@redenchilada omg xD *Bleh* :P
-
@widget Here's my random observation: you seem to be arguing with someone over the internet about what parts of internet communication make you look nice and what parts make you look dumb. I'm legitimately confused; can you clarify the reasoning behind this?
-
@minti Oh yeah, I used that ironically once. It's like the super-fruity impossible-to-take-seriously version of <3 as far as I use it.
-
@widget So now you're just attacking me because I knew something you didn't as opposed to the phrasing. It seems like I DID know and you should probably chill or something.
-
@minti -3-
-
@redenchilada Yep that basically describes it. I know of guys who basically use variants of that all the time. T3T
-
@bitshift >3<
-
@widget Good man, now back to the advice. What do?
-
@minti I'm also probably the only one who likes ponies and yet doesn't care for /)^3^(\
-
@minti There's the squee too /)^3^(\
-
@redenchilada I hate people who use that with a passion. Wait, never mind that's mean. I love and tolerate them. >.>
-
@minti 0u0
-
@bitshift GO AWAY UU. Wait is it UU who does that?
-
@minti Honestly, I don't dislike _too_ many smilies. You won't catch me using most kinds outside of very specific contexts, though.
-
-
@redenchilada Do you know what I'm thinking because you post some of the posts I'm writing xD
-
@minti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
-
@minti No, UU has some squiggly thing also involving 'u's that I can't be bothered to remember. 0u0 was one that Aradia did, then concluded it was terrible.
-
@bitshift @minti uu confirmed for new sicknasty. http://ur1.ca/9eoxy
-
@widget the "Just drop the filler words then. The "I think" however, is a good cushion."? Again, what if I know or it's a fact? What would classify as a filler word?
-
@abigpony you're dead to us all!!!
-
@rozeluck I know... http://ur1.ca/9eoym
-
@abigpony JK xD
-
@carcino Huh. I don't normally like fan-designs for the uU's, but those two seem pretty appropriate.
-
@bitshift I don't know where they are from, BUT I LOVE THEM. http://ur1.ca/9eoz0
-
@minti Share with me all your draws Minti http://ur1.ca/9ep04
-
@carcino Oh man, I LOVE me some mystery drink.
-
@rozeluck I'd claim you re-dead to me, but you use that "xD" enough to where it's not even a problem.
-
@widget "If you're absolutely sure it's true, say 'I think' anyway"? That's horrible advice.
-
-
@abigpony ...
-
@rozeluck ...what?
-
@abigpony Dunno :)
-
@widget Well that seems rather unnecessary and it seems like one of those tools people keep recommending me to stop from hurting other people's feelings. I guess I can try and use them all the time now or something, though. It's not gonna last long, but I'll try I guess.
-
@redenchilada It's called being humble.
-
@widget Then tell them to back it up with evidence. Don't tell them to say "I think $eventOccurance" if they have proof that $eventOccurance is real.
-
@widget "Those rocks fell. I know this because I watched gravity pull them down from the top ledge to the ground right here." Saying "I think" in that instance only makes you look silly. I'm not saying _never_ use the phrase, but it has an actual meaning, not just filler.
-
@widget Pff, only 3AM? Weakling.
-
@widget Yeah, my thought process is just a roll of the dice at this point. I bet that metaphor doesn't even make sense.
-
@redenchilada You're leaving it up to chance? xD
-
@minti That's not what I meant at all. THIS IS WHAT I'M SAYING.
-
@widget Sounds like me. Also, I could totally go for something caffeinated right now.
-
