!coderpony Is there a Python-written 2D animation program?

@caret7 I can name several 3D animation programs written in Python but I don't know of any 2D ones
-
@caret7 that would be cool, but i doubt it.
-
@caret7 I dunno why its programming language matters, but as far as I know, no. Flash, TVPaint, and ToonBoom are all written in C++, ToonBoom being the program used by Family Guy, The Simpsons, and The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.
-
@mrmattimation I would be able to hack and add features to a Python program more easily :)
-
@caret7 My copy of Flash is actually very heavily modified. I've got dozens of plugins and stuff installed to make things a little easier.
-
@caret7 Pygame, sort of? I've seen people use it to create games, but I'm not sure about animations. http://www.pygame.org/news.html

@twilisparkle45 Thanks for the link. Sadly I'm looking for something more suitable for vectors, like Flash ^^
