          @omni This is most certainly not a bash terminal. I can't ls directory contents without first doing a cd into it, and I can't do tab completion of anything. Plenty of other bash builtins are missing too. I can't even use the echo command!

              @omni Actually there are fully-functioning embedded terminals already out there on the web. Rather than rewriting them in javascript they just embed the actual terminal software and wrap it in some javascript to let you interact with it.

              @bitshift Oh, I see. At any rate, what would you recommend over Ubuntu that the average user can use? I prefer Arch Linux myself, but that's not going to work out for the average user. Then again, the average user wouldn't really understand my webpage :P

                  @toksyuryel I don't think I want to give users something unstable, and Debian misses (bad) software a lot of people do use, like Skype (I understand why, being a "Free" distribution, but such things make it useless for a lot of people).
