This "Link should be a girl" thing is probably the dumbest manufactured controversy I've seen ever? I bet if I started a "Samus should be a dude" campaign people would soil themselves with rage.

@ceruleanspark My thoughts exactly. I'm all for progressive stuff but these demands are ridiculous. Transgender Mario, asexual Bayonetta, feminine Kratos... are equally stupid ideas. These are not what they are known for.

@adiwan What are they known for ? I guess to each their own I am sure. To me people like Mario are known for 'good platformer games by nintendo'. Kratos is known for 'spectacle fighter where you rip&tear gods' and Bayonetta, well I actually got nothing on her due to never playing those games myself. But lets focus on Mario and Kratos. I doubt many gamers who actually play games to be entertained think very different. Right ?

@critialcloudkicker Well... Mario had many women in his life: Pauline, Princess Peach, Princess Toadstool, Rosalina. He's a skirt chaser and animal abuser (Donkey Kong, Yoshi, stomping turtles). Kratos is macho masculinity incarnate.

@adiwan Well, if you must go that route. Mario is probably a dangerous psychopath and maybe a communist too. As for Kratos, he might be a pinnacle of masculinity but everytime he goes down with the ladies it seems as though they are 100% into it and he is for the remaining 0% ( almost as if that health upgrade was the proverbial carrot on a stick to lure Kratos into doing the dirty deed with these woman ). ... But by merely stating that I feel like I have somehow dirtied myself to the point of regressive left tumblerisms and I need to take a shower.

@ceruleanspark That already happened, sort of. http://www.themarysue.com/metroids-samus-aran-transgender-woman and the whole follow up is an excelent example of how "people with special interest" just love to stir up a random controversy and then stab each-other in the back just as soon as it becomes apparent that someone needs to take the fall for it... You'd be better off drawing a certain Italian plumber as a woman while doing actual plumbing work if self-soiling is your ultimate goal

@zennx ... I just realized it is probably spaghetti carbonara, which is arguably more impressive, but partially only because I actually know how you can do that. ( Carbonara can be loosely translated from Italian into "Bacon and Eggs" )
