            Yeah, okay

            1. @mrmattimation It doesn't mean that 84% of the population of USA will vote trump, it means that 84% of the people from USA who took part of the poll voted trump.

              1. @nerthos I'm aware. I'm just saying that this poll is inaccurate because I think ONLY Trump supporters are voting in it.

                1. @mrmattimation Eh, say whatever. It's the only worldwide poll I've seen on the debate.

                2. @mrmattimation Did you just "You can't prove to me something is so it inherently is not" ? I thought you could only do that on things like Climate Change / Global Warming

                        1. @nerthos @adiwan let me ask you a serious(-ish) question. What if someone were to posess the indeniable truth that it indeed was a set up when the towers fell, and be able to get it out to the public in such a large scale that it can not be denied. What do you think will happen ? Asside from all the people whom still have stockpiles of "Bush lied !" picket fences going back out there that is. My guess ? America will lose a lot of face, probably be forced to retreat from the middle east by the NATO ( aswell as some sanctions ) and the future of the middle east would probably still be just as grim though with less drone-bombing-runs. At this point the past will not be changed, and I doubt there will be any winners no matter how you look at it. ... Well maybe North Korea will make it into a national holliday.

                          1. @critialcloudkicker It'd be the same as today, with some swearing that it was as the official story told, some swearing that it was a setup, and some getting laughs out of it.

                            1. @nerthos Oh, yeah, I forgot about "those" people. Also those with a really Fluffle Puffed up sense of personal grandeur going around saying "I told ya so"

Tuesday, 27-Sep-16 15:08:27 UTC from web
                              1. @critialcloudkicker In 2 or 3 generations you'll get the truth out of it, once everyone with interests in it is dead.

                                1. @nerthos I still plan to be around in 60-90 years. Maybe more depending on if I can upload my brains into a machine. The future holds way too much uncertainties. ... Although to be honest, if the truth comes out in about a hundred years it'll probably be just as sweet as a bucket of Ben & Jerry's right now, and I can get a bucket of Ben & Jerry's right now. ... Better do that for I do not expect my robot form to have a mouth

                                    1. @nerthos Nono, I just want to see what happens because I am so curious how humanity will try to fork up itself after the next fad blows over. ... Also around that times Video Games will probably blow what is left of my cranium.

                          2. @critialcloudkicker Knowing the truth, telling the truth, listening to the truth, and accepting the truth are four different things on which this hinges on. In Greek mythology Cassandra tried to warn with her prophecies but she was ignored.

                            1. @adiwan I should probably read a book about that once to understand it. I am not great with history at all. Although I have heard about this one guy who burned down a pretty important building and was declared to be removed from history... I wish I could remember that name of the building he torched.

                              2. @critialcloudkicker Long story short: Apollo gave Cassandra the ability of prophecy, soon after he cursed her that nobody believes her. She foretold catastrophes but couldn't prevent them or limit the damages because nobody listened to her.

Tuesday, 27-Sep-16 15:22:14 UTC from web
                                1. @adiwan Wait, is that Roman or Greek ? Also, that is really hard to pull off. I mean, if someone warns me about the untold disasters and trouble to heal the scars of a tragedy he/she could be "lucky" the first time. The second time I will raise and eyebrow and maybe even try to place him/her at the origination of the disaster, but I will sure as hell listen the third time.

Tuesday, 27-Sep-16 15:31:10 UTC from web
                                    1. @zennx People never listen, people tend to dismiss what they do not understand. You are talking to someone with Calvinistic pragmatism lenses the size of a small moon. ... But you are right, maybe I would not believe her, or still dismiss what she would say with the intensity and reckless abandon as if I had gotten advice from a crazy cat lady. But in the very least I'd be trying to make sense of it and fail. like a puzzlepiece made for beings that see in 4D.

Tuesday, 27-Sep-16 15:39:34 UTC from web
                                  2. @critialcloudkicker Greek. It's a magic curse that nobody believes her. Most importantly it's just a fictional story. The point being is that nobody believes in an unimaginable truth, at least not very easily.

Tuesday, 27-Sep-16 15:31:18 UTC from web
                                  3. @critialcloudkicker Imagine going to the media and saying "Yeah, we're at war with ISIS, but they are going to ally themselves with the Jews and are going to launch an all out attack on our borders, we're gonna kick their asses, but they are still gonna win at the end"
no one in their right minds will believe you, pragmatism or not, it's an so absurdly improvable it doesn't merit a second of anyone's attention
and considering these are doom prophecies, there will be no second or third time

Tuesday, 27-Sep-16 15:42:36 UTC from web
                                    1. @zennx Well, if Morpheus would prophecize me to be the one I would only believe him to take me into high regard, but if the Oracle would flatout tell me I am the one I would start to live my life like I am the one. What I am saying with this is that a prophet needs to be smart about what he or she says, conveys, leaks, and more specifically does not do. @adiwan Even if it is a magic curse, there would be some way to get around it. Maybe the person in that story wasn't prophecising hard enough about what he/she should do him/her-self

Tuesday, 27-Sep-16 20:46:35 UTC from web
                                      1. @critialcloudkicker the whole story begins with Apollo telling her he'd give her Oracle-like powers if she sucked his "oh-so-big-I-gotta-be-moved-a-chariot" shlong. He gave her the power then she didn't uphold her end of the bargain.
after hearing this would you trust ANYTHING she'd say?
Could you REALLY trust someone who'd back out on a BJ deal?

Tuesday, 27-Sep-16 20:52:59 UTC from web
                                        1. @zennx Oh wow, I probably have to read that story... Also maybe she prophesized herpes before getting to glomp the chariot ?
