    For the people who care about federation (Probably just @nerthos and @awl) I have no idea why it isn’t working. This is actually a new server, at a new hosting provider and a functionally fresh install of RDN’s version of statusnet. So unless DigitalOcean, Cloudflare, or the other instances themselves are blocking us (or them), there’s no particular reason why it *shouldn’t* work.

      @ceruleanspark oh it’s likely on their end. Not blocking unless you count the Mastodon instances that share that block list. At either rate it doesn’t matter much.

              @ceruleanspark those that initiated the list never communicated with anyone such as an admin. They just saw posts from instances they didn’t like and went from there. Screw them. If that’s their reaction to disagreeable posts then who would want discourse with them.

              @ceruleanspark Oh, you mean dzuk's blockchain that got passed around. The guy is infamous for being insane and adding literal parody posts to his list of "examples" of why sites should be blocked.
              A month or so ago he got blocked out of his own instance due to poor security practices and blamed the hosting company for it, then restarted it from scratch with a different subdomain since he didn't know how to clear it either. He also had no backups whatsoever.

      @ceruleanspark Sounds like regular fedi magic. One day it works, the next it doesn't. It didn't even die at the same time servers were switched, if servers were switched when the avatars broke.
