@toksyuryel another one lost to the black hole
-
@toksyuryel Good luck with that. (Also yeeeesssss, you'll finally get the in-jokes. >:D)
-
@bitshift I'll be in my synchtube room while reading it, if you want to join.
-
@toksyuryel You'll want to pause when you hit the [S] updates, then. (The [S] means they have sound - usually because they're a flash animation, though there have been a couple with just a static image and sound, and the latest [S] was actually mostly HTML5.)
-
@redenchilada You mean your butt?
-
@bitshift Less pause and more mute. But yeah I'm aware that some have sound.
-
@toksyuryel Speaking of which, here's one now!
-
@toksyuryel Oh wait, never mind. There's no sound, it's just flash for… some reason.
-
@toksyuryel Sometimes he uses flash to allow preloading of what could otherwise be unreasonably large .gifs. Also some of what appear to be static flashes sometimes have hidden interactivity
-
@ceruleanspark It was interactive but not the kind you can justify the use of flash for.
-
@toksyuryel Bear in mind that Hussie knew a lot less about javascript/html/css then than he does now - i.e., it was probably doable, but simply not the easiest option for him, given he already had a copy of Flash.
-
@toksyuryel when all you have is a hammer, etc. Flash was, at the time, the only tool he had a lose working knowledge of. When you follow the authors notes in the print editions, he frequently discusses the extent to which he's struggled with flash.
-
@ceruleanspark "when all you have is a hammer" oh you~
-
@toksyuryel Oh, yes. I would keep reading past Act 2, no matter how boring it is.
