      1. @purplephish20 Cats have a built-in mechanism from kittenhood to disable them. When the mommy cat wants them to behave, she bites them on the back of the neck and they just freeze.

        1. @thelastgherkin @ceruleanspark @purplephish20 Many animals have that, in fact. Holding a dog by the neck makes it cease resistance. But cats are just cooler like that.

          1. @nerthos I don't know much about things that aren't cats.

            1. @thelastgherkin Sadly I've had many animals over the years, which makes me now hate many species that I once liked. Cats are a exception, I never get tired of them.

        2. @thelastgherkin @ceruleanspark Interesting, I thought the kittens being so ok with that was just a strong instict of absolute trust in their mother

          3. @purplephish20 Trust is a human concept. If an animal is friendly towards you, its because it is because it doesn't consider you a threat.

            1. @ceruleanspark Aren't those 2 sentences hypocritical of each other? Doesn't the second sentence imply that an animal can Trust you to not be a threat?

              1. @purplephish20 You don't trust a box, yet you do not react with wariness to it.

                1. @nerthos A box is not an independent thinking entity that can make a decision whether or not to kill me

                      2. @purplephish20 People are complicated with their squishy relationships and their tangled webs of lies and misdirection. Animals are straightforward. If a cat doesn't like you, he bites you. If a person doesn't like you...who the hell knows?

You can't say something like "I hope that dog shuts up" without a little group of retards screaming at you. And the worst thing is, they won't even properly face you, they'll just hide behind their internet or throw paint at you and then hope they're faster runners.
