@redenchilada you never actually get the comic file. You buy access to a proprietary viewer that loads the comics you've purchased licenses too. This is seriously how comixology, the online distributor for the MLP comic (and others) works.

@ceruleanspark Oh. I thought it was gonna be something about the physical copies of the book. Then I remembered that comics are sold digitally now and it all makes sense.

@redenchilada The book contains a hidden dotcode that prevents it from being scanned or photographed. (Some scanners already do this with currency)
