@bowandlyre but you really don't know what youre missing out on. The XB360 is the king of social videogame experiences (videogame being the qualifier here; sitting behind a monitor's got nothing on warhammer), but Playstation has some of the best single player adventures to date. Ico, SoC, the GoW series (not to be confused with 360's GoW series), and more. For multiplatform games, try Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno, Conan, and Bioshock.

@crusader8 I just don't really need a PS3 right now plus, I just got a Wii U. Getting 2 consoles in a row isn't a good thing

@crusader8 Consoles are to blame for the degenerated 3D shooters you get nowadays. I will remain a true PC gamer.

@kamikaze no. Before you defend your ground with terminal intensity, I said "genre." FPS, RTS, MMO... these things that are endlessly praised are downright boring to me.

@bowandlyre and some games only make sense with certain controls, like 2d fighters make no sense with a mouse and macro'd function keys

@crusader8 I'll take a controller than a Keyboard for games any day.

@bowandlyre Yeah but there are games I couldn't imagine without a keyboard and mouse. Although games like Starcraft are the best way to lull me to sleep, there's just no way you can cram everything you want to do onto a 8-12 button controller.

@crusader8 I met a PS3 fanboy (with al due respect) He was the worst. He wouldn't shut up about how "Nintendo Sux because they attempted motion controll and failed hurr hurr" yeah becuase sony didn't try that...

@bowandlyre did you tell him Sony also attempted motion controls, and solely because of Wii's sales? Like, Sony wouldn't have done have of the stuff it has for the 3 if it wasn't for Microsoft and Nintendo enjoying success from their own strategies. Sony thought it could just have better specs and that would sell systems, well guess what. XB360 won the console war because kids just want a working cheap system so they can hop online and play the fps multiplayer of the week. Sony had no plan that could beat popular social gaming mentality. I stopped calling myself a gamer when games stopped being about experiences and started being about checklists or competitive multiplayer.

@crusader8 No console won in my opinion. All Have had they're highs and lows.

@crusader8 There's no console war. Such a term implies there's not enough market share in videogames to support multiple different platforms, and this is a bygone relic from the days of SEGA vs Nintendo, where any given console was at serious risk of going out of business. The only people who still moan about "console wars" are the fanboys who need to feel validated for getting one console over the other.
