So my friend just rang up my door asking :where is my phone ? Where is my phone ? ... 15 minutes later he looked the phone up on the trackmyphone.windowsphonesaregay.now page to realize he left it at his dad's ( roughly 80 KM away ) the day before... I am not sure if I should laugh at him

@azureblaze I do NOT like Windows phones. Then again Android is not as fun either but it is the best well known smartphone around, I really hope Firefox will do something about it. Not really that likely since it runs on HTML5 based... something...

@critialcloudkicker I wouldn't know not a phone expert.

@azureblaze When you think about Smartphones this day and age there are 3 big styles that should pop up. Apple Phones, Windows Phones, and Android Phones, and then some rather small names, or names that became small over the years. Look at http://derpy.me/bJh58 for reference and perhaps notice a trend. Now the reason why Apple is bad should be blatantly obvious as they are the the nazi's of their own AppStore and AppDevelopers. Windows Phone is bad in my eyes because they actively refuse Open Source software on their market/appstore, and various other things that make me genuinly hate Microsoft untill it is more a personal moral thing ( Do I need to bring up OpenGL versus DirectX again ? ) ... And lastly, Android. Android OS is an odd one, and you can hate it for a LOT of reasons, or love it. But at the end of the day the only reasons why you might not want an Android phone is because it could potentially spy on you because you do not trust Google. So there you have it :)

@critialcloudkicker Dude what's your deal with Apple? I honestly don't know anymore.

@zeldatra It is true that they are Nazis

@zeldatra The price of a single song on iTunes just went up a dollar. It's like gas these days only they control it all. Just making it seem fair for now as apple slowly turn up the heat. just like the frog in the boiling water.

@azureblaze Uh, I'm browsing iTunes right now. Prices are the same as ever.

@zeldatra What my deal with apple is ? 1. Apple is closed. Look at all the walls around the App Store, it is a bloody nightmare that set many a developer and/or legal team in a uncontrollable state of crying. 2. Apple wants total dominance. Remember Adobe Flash ? 3. Apple is greedy. What's it doing with 144.7 billion ? 4. Apple stuff is generally overpriced. That brings out hipsters and trendsetters and generally mightier than thou people. 5. Apple stuff they put out themselves is suffering due to their own restrictions to further dominate the market, their developers made Apple Maps after all. 6. Apple is the darling of Wall Street. Go look up the share right now, I dare you. 7. Apple is Wall Street's goat ( ask Mr. Market ) 8. Siri ? 9. The primary reason you do not want to part with your Apples is because the Breakup is so so TERRIBLE messy. 10. Itunes is a messy program and transfering files is a nightmare. 11. They refuse to give you keys to YOUR device 12. Censorship 13. Foxconn

@critialcloudkicker I see. Thank you for taking the time to actually list the reasons. Not a lot of people do that.
Sunday, 19-May-13 23:43:00 UTC from web-
@zeldatra Which kind of makes me wonder, what is your personal standpoint ?
Sunday, 19-May-13 23:48:43 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker I'm neutral on both Microsoft and Apple. They both have their ups and downs. I have used Windows since 2000, and I'm also fairly comfortable with Macs. I think Apple's hardware looks sexy, but with Windows you can get more for less, at thecost of more maintenance needs. At the end of the day, what you're REALLY paying for is your own personal preference. I haven't used Linux enough.to judge it.
Sunday, 19-May-13 23:55:17 UTC from web-
@zeldatra I have used Linux a lot in the old days, but back then it required me some effort ( pershaps even uncomfortably so ) to part with the things I could do before without even thinking about it. This included even more things in the old days of Suse 4.0. I will try Ubuntu in the future somewhere, once I have cleaned up my Hard Disks... Which will probably be a bigger pain than to learn the ins and out of this Debian based powerhouse

@critialcloudkicker I do disagree with your statement that the high price tag means that all Apple users think they're "unique" or "hipsters". For example, my friend has a bajillion Macs. I did not know this until I actually went to his house and saw his iMac. Similarly, I've been using an iPod for two years now, but you hardly ever hear a word about that from me. Just remember that a vocal few can make a small problem seem widespread.

@zeldatra He never said "all"

@zeldatra I know that not everyone who owns an Apple product is a "holier than thou" person, and I did not even claim that. I stated that it attracts people like that. I know of a few Apple product users who are in fact very happy helpful and delightful people. But that does not change my opinion as to why I think that paying a lot of money is a good thing

@vt3c Oh believe me, Google's Android is not even close to looking guiltless compared to Windows or Apple. But in the end they have the largest community of people who indeed have Ubuntu installed. ... ... or Suse, Slackware, Gentoo, Fedora, Redhat, Yellowdog... Wait does Yellowdog still live ?
Sunday, 19-May-13 23:48:09 UTC from web -
@vt3c YES!! THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT!
Sunday, 19-May-13 23:51:42 UTC from web -
@vt3c Actually computers are perfect. It is just the software and the companies that are usually the bad apples.

@vt3c The age of machine is upon us.
Sunday, 19-May-13 23:54:52 UTC from web -
@vt3c If you are going to bring this Foxconn thing up like it is a reason why I should in fact not be hating on Apple. Do not bother, I listed all the reasons why I dislike Apple, I did not say I do or do not dislike other companies who have ties with FoxConn at all. In fact I do. And it goes right up to the pro's vs con list I have of that company before I decide if I should buy anything from them, or not.
