          @critialcloudkicker But he said "doesn't fit with the position" and if I asked three impartial people I don't think any would say I have the "attitude" of a moderator.

If you ask me to give a bad example of someone in charge of a forum or similar I would point out to Tim B^Uckley. And unless you have a serious self image problem you know howmuch times of a better person you are than him

              @thelastgherkin Sometimes? I've considered asking for a demotion a couple of times in the past, usually after big site arguments. Then there'd be nobody left on the active team.

                @redenchilada If you are content with being a mod, the admin is happy with you being a mod, and none of the userbase wants you fired, then you're fine. The other guy was only taken on as a trial basis by Widget, and he certainly didn't fulfil the latter criteria.
