Plan B is to purchase them whilst wearing a trench coat and nothing else. hopefully they'll be so alarmed by my apparent nudity they won't question the ponies.

@ceruleanspark You know how I bought mine? I got my little cousin, who's 14 and shares my love of ponies, to go with me so It'd look slightly legit lol. After that, I grew balls and started buying them on my own.

@ceruleanspark Anyhoo... I haven't seen any of the G4 products in shops round here. Oh, except the disfigured Applejack pasta shapes and the Twilight Sparkle balloon thingy. Any near you?

@pawnheart Tesco on the A14 outside Kettering has the full display. Mostly pink Princess Celests, but I've seen other ponies there too. I was going to investigate more closely today.

@gequalsz If you use the same paint they use for Warhammer/other tabletop wargames, you should be able to get a pretty good, durable finish. Also an excellent range of colors.

@pawnheart I didn't hate Over a Barrel, but then, I'm significantly less aware of the issues it was supposed to be trivialising. (Genocide of Native Americans, mostly)

@pawnheart I dug it. I have yet to dislike an episode, really. Liked some more than others, but overall liked them all. Seems to me, the haters set out to hate *something* and will find it no matter what.

@greydragon412 Well work that's not for free. I worked plenty of "volunteer" jobs before. Most of them were office jobs. I'm gonna get an office job on campus today. AND IT PAYS :D

@ceruleanspark I didn't think it trivialised it really... but then I'm not exactly an expert either. At least it dealt with it, and tried to do so even-handedly. I can, however, understand the criticism that the "solution" was a bit... crass. If only the settlers had made really good apple pie, the marginalisation of an entire culture would have no doubt been far chirpier, eh?

@scribus Hey there! And I'm with you... I don't dislike a single S1 episode (though, of course, there are some I prefer over others). I think another of its many merits was its unusual consistency.

@scribus Gosh, I haven't seen that in so long... I couldn't judge. Mind you, I have watched SatAM Sonic recently, and that managed to be far more uneven, at half the length, and I still consider it to be a very good series.

@pawnheart I picked up the DVDs out of a combination of nostalgia and disposable income. :p And, as is my luck, they seem to have given up on releasing the entire series, leaving my collection finished at halfway.
