@riley For me it depends on what metric you're comparing the two, if you're going to compare them (the music of Modest Mouse and The Decemberists don't really have entirely congruent goals). Generally speaking, I prefer Colin Meloy as a singer and guitarist while I prefer Isaac Brock as a lyricist and songwriter. /Both/ are talented for sure though, and both of their respective groups have put out records in the past that I've highly enjoyed.
