@snowcone I actually did go through it frame by frame at first, but then I tried it the other way and it looked so much smoother.

Hey, been a while. So, when animating frame by frame, do you prefer straightforward—that is, getting from A to B one frame at a time—or pose to pose, meaning drawing the key poses first then the inbetweens later?

By the way, I founded the !animators group (which got way more members than I thought it would), but until recently when I got a clean record, I honestly thought that I only had a couple more months at the most on RDN before I screwed up a third time and was permabanned. So I got to thinking, what if I screw up another three times and that group gets left without an admin? Long story short I need a second admin for that group.

@zeldatra I have the SWF file that I made for my portfolio but that's hardly relevant. My personal favourite little loop I've made was my daft little dancing man gif I made.

!animators when you're making something more complex move, do you draw full cycles for certain sections before moving on to another section or draw each frame of every section before moving on the next frame? I do the former, but hear the latter is faster.

So !animators. What are your tools of choice? I myself use Macromedia Flash 8 in conjunction with a Wacom Bamboo medium tablet, and I run my finished SWFs through Swivel for YouTube upload.

Usually I color and animate at the same time, but I heard its easier if you animate first then color later. !animators, do you have any experience with this?

@zeldatra I've only used Maya 4 and Maya 7, but the others aren't too different I'm guessing. I was terrible at texturing/coloring though xP

@pony With Blender, I just did an asston of extruding to get the shape I wanted. I had no idea how to texture.
