  1. @redenchilada Furries vs Bronies is even worse than Mac vs PC

  2. @redenchilada Hardware wise, Apple, I have to admit that Apple does have the advantage here. I haven't seen a Windows based computer than can go toe to toe with this monstrosity: http://www.apple.com/mac-pro/

  3. @zeldatra Blah. Nerds. A computer is a computer. Choose one. I'm choosing Apple because of its virtual ecosystem that integrates with all of their devices.

  4. @coffeecream Well considering the fact that Apple computers are basically solid state versions of high end Windows and gaming desktops... I really don't see a difference in terms of the computer itself. So what if its running a different OS? What OS you use is your own personal preference. The majority of people use Windows because its the most common but some people who are like me, like using a more aesthetically pleasing OS like Linux or Apple OSX.

  5. @zeldatra Wait what? RDN is full of Apple haters?

  6. @vt3c Oh wow...actually, its not an i7, but its still a quad core. It's not a sandy bridge but its still quite powerful (I can play Skyrim at 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution at a decent 40 to 50 frames a second on high settings). According to Linux, my processor is a i5-2320, 3.0 Ghtz CPU

  7. @vt3c Give me a moment to find the exact specifications

Saturday, 20-Jul-13 05:32:41 UTC from web in context
  8. @vt3c This is what's in it I think. I remember paying almost $350 for the processor alone. http://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-2600K-Quad-Core-Processor-Cache/dp/B004FA8NOQ?tag=top10new-20

  9. @vt3c Actually, its not, I don't think

Saturday, 20-Jul-13 05:29:17 UTC from web in context
  10. @vt3c I'm not sure

Saturday, 20-Jul-13 05:28:13 UTC from web in context
  11. @vt3c I can probably sell it to you for $500 since it cost me a little over that to build the machine

Saturday, 20-Jul-13 05:26:33 UTC from web in context
  12. @yodelerty That too.

Saturday, 20-Jul-13 05:24:54 UTC from web in context
  13. @vt3c Sure. It's an i7 Quadcore with 4GB's of RAM, a nVidia Gforce 550Ti GPU , a 1 TB hard drive, 24 inch monitor, with a dual boot Windows 8 and Linux Ubuntu 13.04. I can sell it to you once I have it ready to be replaced with an Apple desktop.

  14. (I know there are going to be some people who are going to hate me for this but...) I'm seriously considering switching to all Apple devices. I'm just getting really tired of having different branded things that at times aren't even compatible with each other. My Samsung Galaxy S3 doesn't like playing nice with my Windows Surface tablet at times and my Windows tablet absolutely hates my Linux desktop running a Windows emulator. I personally would rather trade in all of this stuff for a nice Macbook Pro, a nice gaming Mac Desktop and an iPhone. Why? Because Apple products all collaborate with one another in a unified ecosystem. What about playing awesome computer games? No problem. Apple's OSX can run a virtual console that emulates Windows 7. :3

  15. @awlderpy I'm sorry to hear that. Honestly, if this happened more recently, you may have been able to go to the US Embassy and join a NATO military like the US, UK or Australia

  16. @awlderpy This is when you become an Potato Knishes and join the US Military

Friday, 19-Jul-13 04:20:28 UTC from web in context
  17. @nerthos True, but it /does/ govern military policies.

Friday, 19-Jul-13 04:19:29 UTC from web in context
  18. @awlderpy Seriously? I thought their military was democratic nowadays...what happened?

Friday, 19-Jul-13 04:17:18 UTC from web in context
  19. @awlderpy Discrimination is illegal in the military.

Friday, 19-Jul-13 04:15:28 UTC from web in context
  20. @awlderpy Ugh. Typical people. Seriously, there's no reason to be envious of another soldier in the military. Everyone has a fair chance of earning decorations and medals. Look at me, I may not have any outstanding war medals, but I do have the Meritorious Unit Award, Double Marksman, Iraq War Campaign Medal and The War on Terrorism Decoration. You earn those simply by doing your job in a timely manner.

Friday, 19-Jul-13 04:14:05 UTC from web in context
  21. @awlderpy Who cares what they like or what they didn't like? You obviously earned them fairly. What's there to complain about? Its like me complaining about how I didn't get a Medal of Honor when I've never been wounded nor performed a heroic action during a war.

Friday, 19-Jul-13 04:10:12 UTC from web in context
  22. @awlderpy Honorable?

Friday, 19-Jul-13 04:06:08 UTC from web in context
  23. @awlderpy I still have to wear mine occasionally. I'm mostly in my BDU's

Friday, 19-Jul-13 04:04:40 UTC from web in context
  24. @awlderpy See? Point taken. Sharp dressed and organized people almost always make it to the top. :3

Friday, 19-Jul-13 04:02:57 UTC from web in context
  25. @awlderpy Let them. As far as you know, they probably just sloppily throw their clothes in a drawer somewhere or have them thrown all over their rooms. Besides, what looks better when you're getting a promotion: A clean, nicely pressed suit with the name tag and all other badges placed neatly and precisely on it or a badly crumpled suit that's half buttoned with sweat stains on the shirt collar and last weeks coffee stain on the front of the jacket?

Friday, 19-Jul-13 03:59:52 UTC from web in context
  26. @awlderpy Definitely, but it's a good habit and lifestyle to have. People will respect you for it, because it shows them that you respect yourself and present yourself to them as someone professional and proper.

Friday, 19-Jul-13 03:54:01 UTC from web in context
  27. @awlderpy Me too, even though its been almost 4 years since I was last in basic training. XD

Friday, 19-Jul-13 03:51:41 UTC from web in context
  28. @awlderpy BT does change a lot of people. If a person didn't learn respect and integrity from their parents, the military will shove a boot up that person's poop hole far enough to make them remember it permanently.

Friday, 19-Jul-13 03:48:54 UTC from web in context
  29. @awlderpy Probably, but these type of people are going to get a rude awakening when their mom and dad kicks them out of the house.

Friday, 19-Jul-13 03:46:35 UTC from web in context
  30. @awlderpy When that day ever comes, I'll be the first to tell you.
