@lcplazureblaze really a mixed bag. Now with afterthought I don't like what we were doing but my time in the service is invaluable. I wouldn't trade it for anything even if I don't agree with the government then or now.

@lcplazureblaze russian army. My battalion was mobilised for four out of five years I was in, so most of the qualifiers we'd have faced were foregone.

@lcplazureblaze ah so you lot do that also. I don't remember if we had mandatory chemical training but marksmanship was the same, qualified yearly. As an officer you were more likely to be a field officer if you scored high enough. I think all the other field skills were yearly also but none of that stuff applied to me as we were in-field as is.

@lcplazureblaze well how often do officers have to maintain a "combat rating" if there is such a thing in your branch?

I want to say the most common problems i have personally seen with the m9 (civillian 92fs) were worn out falling locking block (need to be replaced roughly every 6k rounds) and a worn out slide stop. both a pain but still relitivly easy to fix. no im not i gunsmith though i do tinker a bit
