@zeldatra Good night.
-
@zeldatra The allure of second-person romance stories.
-
@metaltao The important thing is that the messages are self-contained and not spread into parts, and that everyone knows who is meant to type next. This makes it impossible to interrupt someone else's turn. :-)
-
@metaltao Only partly. Player one writes out their message in full, and they can interact with anyone they please with the message. Once it is sent, player two does the same thing. It loops back after the last player.

@metaltao Of a rigid turn order?
-
@thewaifutyphoon 'The ogre!' said Jin. He collected himself immediately, since a samurai's training steels him for such things. He slashed at the monster. A moment later, the ogre had fled, but its arm remained on the bridge.
-
@l1ghtsword And at the red bridge over the river, Jin witnessed first-hand the hulking figure of...

-
@metaltao I find it best when playing to take a rigid turn order, in which everyone emotes in a self-contained post, so that there can be no confusion.
-
@l1ghtsword So Jin the samurai set out to prove that the ogre beneath the bridge did not exist. None of his friends joined him, but he would paste a paper with their signatures onto the gate of the bridge to prove he had really gone. There was a pall over the hilltops, and the new moon meant there only came light from the houses behind him, in the village...

@metaltao Without formal gameplay elements, it is tough for me to get into adventures.
-
@l1ghtsword I never finished Jin the samurai's tale for you
-
@metaltao Do you have a favorite genre of play? Just curious.
-
@metaltao So, what's your roleplaying style?
-
@metaltao Pencil and paper.
-
@metaltao I suspect that the spoilered messages here show up as cryptograms or caesar ciphers in my terminal, so I am trying to solve them for fun.
-
@metaltao What're you up to?
-
@mylittletrixie Aww!
-
!coderponies Does anypony know how to permanently let Python know about modules installed in odd directories, like /usr/local? Do I just set PYTHONPATH?
-
@metaltao It does refresh, but I was keeping an eye on it.
-
@metaltao Night.
-
@metaltao Whether it is similar depends on what happens during the honeymoon. ;-)
-
@metaltao I like writing much pithier things. I'm excited to read your finished text, if you will continue it. Good night!
-
@metaltao It is like a story. I like it!
-
@metaltao Sure!
-
@metaltao When you are finished, I have to get sleep. :-)
-
@metaltao I beseech you not to emulate my style, if you can help it. Mine is only one way to do this!
-
Don't call the cops, though. They don't take kindly to free verse

@metaltao Mine is done.
