@bronycharge i like the cheery kinds
-
@bronycharge It is, it adds another dimension to the game. And a good commander ( like I was ) can help you win the game, meanwhile a bad commander can help you lose the game. In between all games I would probably rate the commander about a 1.5-4 importance role over the "normal" and "acrual" grunts
-
@bronycharge In games like BF and NS the commander mode is a simple overhead view of the whole map or region and you make split second desisions based on what is information is fed to you ( in the case of NS games, you also have a bit of basebuilding going on ). Whether it is to go attack that foe lurking around the corner, pressing the objective, falling back, using base-resources to rid yourself of a problem ( In Battlefield 2, 2142, Vietnam, and some others you had EMP bombardments, artillery strikes, supply drops and/or vehicle drops in your arsenal ) ( In Natural Selection you have the ability to scan an area for hostiles, and/or call in siege cannons ) ... TLRD; You have an overhead view of the map all the players are playing on like a proper first person shooter and give them commands
-
@bronycharge I enjoy them. But I need variaty in my diet if you know what I mean. I also LOVE the commander mode in Natural Selection and Battlefield games... However the last Battlefield commander mode has yet to prove itself. I fear that it is not going to be as awesome or even desirable to the likes of me.

@bronycharge Heh.
-
@bronycharge Ditto... And I sort of refuse to buy the game I already own on principle... Unless if I have good reasons to do it, like multiplayer, Perhaps on a LAN party or something. Since I have a big one coming up in 2 months I will probably buy it then if I notice it is being played like a boss. Or when it comes on a very good sale.
-
@bronycharge I am still unsure whether to buy it or not. After all I do not really know anyone to play it with who lives in the same building as I do. And that is where half the fun lies IMHO
-
@bronycharge thanks for the link! I miss seeing @Forestrain around RDN
