@redenchilada @mhyshka The JSON API (it's the same URL as the RSS feeds, just with a .json extension instead of .rss) sends avatar links alongside each notice too, including on the current site code, although it only sends a link to the stream-size 48x48 avatar. (Replacing the '-48-' in the image URL with '-96-' or '-24-' will get you the other sizes, if you need those.)

@mhyshka ...Actually, looking through the code, it seems the site already does that. Unless you mean on the public timeline's feed. That would have to be added in separately. (Alternatively, once the main site upgrades, you could try switching to the ActivityStreams feed 1.0.1 introduces, which sends every available size of a user's avatar alongside each notice.)

@mhyshka The site is just about to undergo a major version upgrade (To statusnet 1.01) so I'll have to get that done before I make any changes to the codebase. The upgrade is in the pipeline for the next week or so, so I'll be able to look at it after that.
