  6. @narwhal Heide tower was geographically closer and was more aesthetically pleasing to me so I went there first. Also enemies there were chivalric in how they fought, rather than having to go through ambushes at a low level like in forest of giants.

  7. @narwhal Happened to me in 2 when I went through that ruined place where ornstein was before going to the last giant

  9. @narwhal The weird thing about DS1 is that what bosses were hard were completely up to your playstyle. For example for me the bridge drake was the hardest base game boss, impossible at the level you get to it, and the capra demon was easy. For Cerulean it was the complete opposite, never dying to the drake, yet having trouble with the capra demon even in NG+

  11. @narwhal Makes sense. Still, after what happened with 2, I don't want to pay full price on it, so I'll likely only consider buying it when the final edition with DLC comes out.

  12. @narwhal Ya know I would normally hype and be all... "OH MY GOSH BEST GAME EVAR!"

In all honesty, it is a labor of understanding all the faults of all the souls games, including Bloodbourne, and working on their strengths... To create a very cohesive, intuitive, rewarding experience. It's like they combined all the good things in all the souls games as far as gameplay, and enough lore to take you back, and bring you into a new experience every time. It's a souls game, it still has quirks, but this time it's just a solid, polished entry, and one amazing send off for the souls series.

  13. @narwhal I mostly haven't touched it because 1) my disk is too full of unfinished things and 2) I haven't finished 2, as I was at the memories part when I updated it for the dlc, and the miracles nerf forced me to completely change my playstyle when I was on soul level 160+, at a point where I can't just change my build.

  14. @narwhal According to a friend it is good, better than 2 at least. I'm avoiding looking at it until whenever I'm up to actually playing it though.

  15. @narwhal I played a bit of it. It's alright. Don't really see what the big deal is.

  16. @narwhal Like seriously that game would punish you so much. "You're being too impatient, the enemies do double damage, and are smarter." The masochist in me is like "Thank you."

  17. @narwhal i am not a much skilled gamer myself, so a souls tier game is a reeeaaal challenge for me

  21. @narwhal He's definitely a legend but you can't deny the crudeness. Maybe it just seems simple due to the impact his work had on the English language though

  29. @narwhal This is also what you have to do if you choose Charmander in the original Red or Blue, but this is not the case in Fire Red and Leaf Green as Charmander learns Metal Claw at level 13 in Gen 3.
