  1. Work on BASH scripts like I should, or distract myself with ponies? We all know which way that one is going...

  3. Helping the girlfriend find a job (since she was kind enough to move out of state with me) is all the more difficult since I don't know what she does. "Here, here! Hydrology job!" Her:"I'm not a hydrologist, but I can do it...." The same thing goes for geology, environmental engineering, and a myriad other number of environmental science jobs.... pain.

    • @sonicdash Still breathing here, I think. *coughwheezehack* :p Ewww! I'm sorry that you have this bug, too. :( I hope that goes away for you soon! I've spent much of the day with that feeling that my mind is floating in sludge. I hope you don't have to contend with that when you go in for your exams! New study techniques, though? Do tell! And some quality quiet time sounds like a great thing to indulge in when you're on your winter break. :)

    • @astra Well that's good to hear. Try some warm tea to clear your throat up. :) Thankfully it isn't hitting me too hard, so it should be gone by the time I take my first exam on Wednesday. Yup. My professors have been posting the results to homework, exams and quizzes, so I'm going to write down the answers and create side-notes on the parts I did wrong to remember those mistakes I made. Let's see how it turns out. That it does. :) Think you might be able to enjoy some peaceful quiet time as well?

    • @sonicdash Making myself some nice chamomile tea is at the top of my list of things to do as soon as I get home. :) And that's a very good idea for getting ready for exams, so you can focus more on the weak spots. Sounds to me like you're going to do very well, there. As for quiet time here, probably here and there, but, overall, it looks like things are going to stay busy for a while here. I'll manage all right, though. Always have so far. :)

  5. @ponygeist I'm doing alright. There was some drama with the members and what not. Much of the group has moved over to the facebook page, that's mostly were we do business now. I wish we had still kept to RBDN, but then no one would use it. There was arguments about what could be posted and stuff, people sometimes trying to post Rule 34, along with arguments with meetup planning and all sorts of little things. We have had 1, maybe 2 meetups since you have been gone, going to probably do a service project for the next one in December. I'm waiting until January so the semester can end, I'm still in High School and all, rather boring, but next semester I am going to take a Comptia Linux class. Can't say whether it will be good or bad, but the teacher shows a bit more intelligence then most of the ones I know. No worries about dropping from the Radar, it's good to see you back.

        • @pengawill I helped to arrange the first Utah meet up. A few suggestions: divide the work load and have a goal. We ended up standing around akwardly and figuring out what to do.... and even getting there was tedious. Having someone assist in the plan is a BIG help... if you have an all ages place that holds interest for all, that's the place to go... even if it's just an arcade

        • @ponygeist well, i already know theres not going to be too many people there, 8 or 9 at the most. I can only think of one or two places really that we could go. What all would I have to plan? I mean, i know i have to tell people about it, get a date set, certain things like that. Anything major I would have to worry about?

        • @pengawill Worry about everyone's transport, a method of identification, and an event to bring everyone together... even if it's just a roundtable of "X is the best pony because Y"

And @lightningcrash I will use that as an avatar, but unfortunately I dont have access to a computer now (in the middle of a loooooonnnggg drive.) <thank you phone> Anyway, thought I'd let that out there with this long post. Thank you!

                • @ponygeist Hey bro. I know we haven't spoken in a while, not that we did before. Back at that meetup you came to, I don't think you know how much of an influence you had. Several of my brony friends and I thought you were the coolest brony, if not the coolest guy we had ever met. I should say it was probably good that you moved to Seattle, you got to avoid all the drama the Brony group had of late. Even though we met only once, you are an awesome guy. Keep with it Bro.
