Happy to be home in #SoCal after 11 months on an assignment in Missouri to you too. I'm n o t trying to get him wrong. You like much of Missouri (and Kansas.. @what do you like? @what is his name? Do you think this situation is similar? Oh? you're a poet. I can dig with ixQuick. @how did you like Cape Girardeau for a few day trips? I'm n o t sure - if I can quantify the answer. I have an old consumer-grade #Wi-Fi router that is not plugged into an network. I turned off the #WPA2 security on it, so anyone in range can get on it. (Wi-Fi users cannot reach the admin pages.)
It has been powered off for a while. I think I'll power it back on once I get back home to #SoCal. I might try to see if I can attach a cheap inkjet printer. Maybe some of my neighbors will see the value in a community net that is not part of the outside networks. -

@redenchilada I've written a couple, most of them deliberately half-baked, and the rest just because I didn't have anything else to write and I wanted to be externally liable to force myself to hit keys in a specific order. But yes, I did do one at the !SoCal #GrandGallopingGala with Carcino's OC (one of my deliberately half-baked ones).

@thelastgherkin I've met him in meatspace (don't recall him well enough to describe, but I do recall the name & fanfic .pdf-ing thing). He's part of the !SoCal Meetup group. My attendance at future meetups is tenuous at best now.

Sat. 11th, someone was looking into hiking Santiago Peak in Orange County, and Sun. 12th someone's looking to pull together a potluck an the Korean Bell of Friendship in San Pedro (Pey-dro or Peh-dro, not Pee-dro, you pinche gringos (j/k)). And on Sunday 19th someone is looking to pull together a group to see "The Expendables 2." I'm going to tie "action stars tag-team blowing dudes in pieces" to "friendship" somehow. . . . !SoCal and !LAbronies -- Looks like people are really angling to take advantage of the last days of the summer. On Friday, August 10th there are two meetups -- One at the "dinosaur park" in Laguna Hills, as well as a farewell to a visitor on a summer internship at Cheesecake Factory in Anaheim. Saturday 11th, a beach meetup in Huntington AND a park meetup/potluck in Anaheim. Sunday 12th, a walkaround meetup at the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. And Wednesday 15th is slated to be a #Disneyland meetup. All this in less than a week! 13 total upcoming events and 12 suggested events to be found here: http://www.meetup.com/SoCalBronies/
