@tiffany And you know, I think that (metatextually, or whatever (metafilmically?)) it helps the show that it did start off in a way that gets described as "standard sitcom fare." It may have taken a bit too long to play the "holy crap" card, maybe took too much advantage of being on a binge-able medium, but damn it I defend the perceived weaker early episodes as supporting what comes later!
