  4. @thatonepony This isn't rap, but it is awesome (and very slightly #) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdNGHg66EKg Not gonna link any more music if you don't like that one since it's either more of the same or something you've already said you don't care for.

  7. @ponydude It's not unique to open source, it's just more visible because it's... open source. For example, this little gem was found in the Quake III source code when it was released http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast_inverse_square_root (should this be tagged # for linking to an article that includes the F-word?)

  8. This post is sickening, and I'm horrified that it was produced by someone in this fandom. This crosses the line and just keeps going. http://bronysay.tumblr.com/post/18305558075 #

  9. @ladestitute You should ask several people this question and carefully weigh their answers against what it is you personally want to do, because there is no one right answer that is true for everypony. For instance, I hate C# but not for any rational reason- I hate it simply because I hate .NET and C# depends on it. Python is my personal recommendation for first language, though nothing is wrong with Java either if you're any good at coding in it (most people aren't, giving it an undeserved reputation of being a bad language when it actually does some pretty revolutionary things like JIT compilation). If you'd like to do things in hard mode, you could try C (but not C++, for reasons explained here: http://yosefk.com/c++fqa/ possibly #, I can't remember if it contains strong language or not so I'm tagging it just in case).

  10. @ceruleanspark You may find yourself interested in my thoughts on the definition of "furry" as I see it vs. how the community sees it # https://inkbunny.net/journalview.php?id=12866
