Hey, if I can find a way to indiscriminately banana on whatever's popular now just because it's popular, can I write for IGN, too? I've been trying to forget everything I know about spelling, punctuation, and grammar so I can write for AV Club, but that hasn't been wrokng oot.

I'd delete my Twitter account but
A: don't think that would solve anything outside of my addiction as there'd still be a copy somewhere

@rockingsunset My problems were with the aberrant toxicity that comes with extremes in politicism. Either side, not that they're entirely the same, but equally hard to listen to after a while. Especially if you're a centrist looking to calm themselves as they age.
Twitter at once had its use but no longer. That ought to make my addiction to it and social media easier to quit but addictions don't make sense. -
@awl @rockingsunset I only have some of those things since society demands it, cause if you didnt you would be only half informed or missing out on interacting with some people. It's totally obnoxious and pointless, It's like buying a game for only a part of it, then half to pay for the other half. Wait....

gendered pronouns add subtle hints to social relationships unstated in texts. I'm no really defending it, but this is a problem with neutral ones that unstated information is lost. sometimes I've wished that there were words for group of males/females/mixed/other than just "they." but I am ok with gender neutral pronouns.

And that’s how one uses ‘one’ as a so-called pronoun. You can’t replace singular ‘they’ with one as ‘one’ denotes agent removed. So grape off anyone who doesn’t like singular ‘they’.

On this International Day of Men I'd like to apologise for my dismissal of it in previous years. I'm not apologising to the people I was standing against, but to those that I'd swept under the rug collaterally. It's not me or men like me who need a day; it's the queer men, the trans men, the sick men and the men of colour who need a whole lot longer than that.

So my truck broke down. Got home and it was hissing and pouring steam out from under the hood. Took the garden hose, cooled it down, popped it open. It was night, so I took out my phone to use the flashlight and have a look at what's wrong. Dropped the phone, shattered the screen. "Screw it." I'm home, I have a bike, I take the train to work, whatever. So I took my bike to Target to buy a new phone today, and someone steals the bike seat while I'm in the store.

@scribus The amount of misfortune is staggering. A friend of mine got his bike stolen once when he was in the process of putting it into the cellar. He opened the front door and cellar door and when he returned it was gone.
