Animation was good, the visuals not my cup of tea. It wasn't thaaat bad technically but it has a lot of what I don't gel with. I get adventure films and mystery but in Flow it is getting me on my nerves as nothing appears to be explained or wanted to be explained and all the characters' motivations and inner thoughts can only be guessed by the actions, because they are animals but with some human-like cognitive abilities. It's frustrating me on a deeper level in regards of story telling.

@adiwan I can see where that "immersion" thing might be going too far, if you're immersed in something you don't get then you're just kind of immersed in confusion

Unpopular opinion: Flow, the animated film sucks. If you're a vibes or animal person, it might be something. It's just some animals roaming the land and escaping rising waters.

Who could have thought that an old and worn-down part might be problematic as in adding more resistance and more wear and tear on other parts like the chain? Got myself a really fine and smooth operating caliper at the flea market for just 9€. I had to clean it as it was gummed up with grime but it is better than the cheap one I bought new. My printed chain guard turned out pretty nice https://i.imgur.com/bDlIipS.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/rcmzHLm.jpeg During the whole process I also changed the chain and discovered that the sprocket is heavily worn down and creates unpleasant rattling noises with the new chain. It's gonna be a TON OF FUN disassembling the back wheel to get to the sprocket.

OK completely unrelated to server setup bile, but I seriously didn't feel as much like we were facing The End after 9/11 as it looks for COVID-19. Just about think there were more flights in the air, too.

I'm surprised that I have gone so fast through my bike chain. I didn't bike that much in the last year and yet the chain is at its end of life and has been stretched to the end of its maximum tolerance (120,5mm over 10 chain links).

I've finally changed the bike chain guard with a new one that I have bought years ago. The new one isn't a perfect fit so I had to 3D-print a small ring to close a gap around the pedals. Also the cover needed some holes drilled in order to mount that to my bike. Both things made me delay the replacement and the old one still hanged on, by a thread to be honest. Next time whenever it breaks I completely 3D-print that using the original as a template. I had to use M5 nuts as spacers in order to center the new guard. Sadly the manufacturer doesn't provide replacement parts or information where to buy the exact same model.

@scribus LLMs have incredible potential as a learning tool and logistical aid but the world seems content on using them to cheat on essays, skip therapy, and roleplay a meet & cherry scenario with Sticks the Badger.
