  1. I think I can say that if you choose to watch "Something Very Bad Will Happen" then something very bad will, indeed, happen

    • @scribus This title sounds like a title a 8-year-old would choose who has been around teenagers and trying to be edgy and cool, and failing so due to not knowing anything in life and due to strict parents not knowing curse words as well.

  2. Inconsistent logic and idkwtf it was getting at but it really did seem to want to *Say* something about relationships. Cool cinematography.

    • But nah it wasn't really that bad, just kind of over winded at parts and an ultimately meh ending

      • Sometimes I ponder what if I were drinking alcohol and question if it would make the world more bearable. As I am not drinking any I guess I will continue to suffer unnumbered.

      • Drinking about 2l of caffeinated beverages like tea is probably not the cause.

      • Living in Virginia is:

-blue state cost of living (bad)
        -red state taxes (good)
        -red state infrastructure (bad)
        -blue state weed laws (good)
        -red state neighbors (bad)

      • I may have voiced this sentiment before but I WISH more movies were as weird as Overlord is. Genuinely, I super vibed with how that movie had no idea what it wanted to be.

          • Oh I'm also screaming internally about California enacting operating-system level age verification mandates starting next year, but that's super duper unrelated to the wine

            • I am at present drinking a milky, neon-green, apple-flavored wine and contemplating making a twin-stick shooter in Godot. The two are technically unrelated.

              • Started today with putting gherkin and beanstalk seeds into pots. 2 gherkin kinds, 3 beanstalk kinds, 10 seeds each. Meanwhile the tomato plants are about 50cm tall. It's becoming harder to rotate their pots without getting them tangled up with each other. I have to rotate them because they would lean too much to one side.

                • Watched Zootopia 2 and I wasn't impressed. It's a borderline idiot plot. It felt too disjointed. Too much is happening without taking a moment to breath and contextualize. I also expected a little bit more political involvement given the plot. Protests and such. Still watchable and bit entertaining.

                    • The pain of buying taller server rails by mistake BUT they were cheaper than the slightly shorter ones that I had bought last time. Now my 3D model doesn't fit the rails and I have to print some gap filling panels. I wanted 10U rails but got 12U. The product title had 10'' 12U too close together so my eyes got confused. Could be worse.

                      • Monster idea: Reverse Vampire. Can only be seen in mirrors, can't leave the house without being asked to leave, and injects blood to people.

                      • Finally I have erected a second green house albeit a smaller one. The coming week I'll buy some pavement stones to get some stable ground to walk on. I hope my mild carpal tunnel won't get worse from carrying the stones.

                        • I'm using up soil faster than my tomatoes can grow. I have small planting pots made out of coconut fibers that I've used for the initial germination. A few days ago the plants have become so big that the roots are coming through the fibers. It put a bit of pressure on my side to give them a bigger pot. I got them 10 times the room they had before, the size of a bigger shot glass.

                            • I removed a 80kg stump from my garden. I started digging it out before Winter but today the weather was good enough for a while that the earth isn't fully saturated with water making it harder as it already was. I believe I pulled a muscle in my arms while I carried it to the edge of my garden.

                              • The one thing I can truly give this game praise for is the retro titles. The lineup is insanely goated, and Yutaka Ito is probably solely responsible; he seems to have a very genuine interest in making sure as many classic SEGA titles are as accessible as possible. He developed the Master System, Game Gear, and SEGA NAOMI emulators this game uses for its arcade and retro offerings, and I could genuinely spend hours just playing these.

                                • Yakuza Kiwami 3 is the first Yakuza game I’ve played since getting into the series that I didn’t beat in the first week. Not all of that is the game’s fault, after all it’s hard to be enthused about completing a game where I already know the ending and all of the major story beats. Still, there’s something… missing, I think. Maybe it’s that this game feels more like a Gaiden than an actual mainline entry. Maybe it’s the horribly paced opening. Maybe after playing like fifteen of these in just three years I’m totally burnt out. But this is the first one that I just don’t feel compelled to play. I’ll pick it up every few days, play for a couple of hours, have my fun, then put it back down.
